Florida fires Mullen, looking for sustained success

Dan Mullen was fired Sunday as Florida's football coach. Mullen, in his fourth season at the school, had the Gators in the SEC championship game last season, but they need to beat Florida State on Saturday to avoid a losing season.

I can't believe how far Mullen has fallen. He'll end up somewhere eventually.

Valdosta State ended up losing the final regular season game to West Florida in a shoot out. Yeah, this was 2 werks ago.. However, since VSU had the better win loss record they got the first round bye in the Division 2 playoffs. West Florida got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Now VSU will play West Georgia again in the second round at home. Since I'm going home for Thanksgiving, I may see about going to the game.

By the way, West Georgia beat Albany State in the first round of the playoffs. Yeah, Georgia had 3 schools in the playoffs!
