Sad, if not for Oklahoma moving to the SEC in 2025, Georgia would be playing them this week. But since they are, the SEC requested the game be canceled (same with Tennessee’s game against Oklahoma next year) so, Georgia gets another damn jobber school instead.

And even though they play a conference game next week against South Carolina that too can be seen as a jobber game…. But at least there it’s not like it’s Georgia’s fault that the Gamecocks suck.

And for those wondering (like I was) why we can get Alabama vs Texas, when Texas is also moving to the SEC. The Texas and Alabama home and home will be completed before they are in the SEC. Oklahoma wasn’t coming to Athens til 2030. So they just outright did away with the game that was this weekend. Sucks, but it is what it is.

Yeah, that’s what I said man i said it was requested because the home home series couldn’t be completed correctly. Definitely didn’t blame OU.

though the place I got the information about why the Bama and Texas game was able to still happen, someone did say that Georgia was ready to play on a neutral site (so it would not require the home home bs) and Oklahoma didn’t want to do that. Not sure if that’s true or not. I’m just sad because I want an exciting game and Ball fucking State isn’t gonna give me that.

I think it was a boneheaded decision by Sankey to remove Oklahoma against Georgia. That would be a very good matchup to watch. But oh well. Both them and Texas are joining the conference in 2024, which means that there will be some legit matchups with both schools involved.
