Now that the season is officially over, I can OFFICIALLY congratulate Stellar. You laid the smackdown on every one of us this season. Nice job!

Thank you! Was a fun battle. I am glad that everyone participated because it's nice to have others to discuss NASCAR and play fantasy with. Literally everyone in my real life is like "oh you watch cars go in circles" when I tell them that I watch NASCAR.

One thing about me is that I am very competitive at fault. I hate losing. So I focused on the fantasy thing much more closely than I did last year. lol

I totally get that. Losing drives me absolutely nuts.

If I were guessing, the person is probably hinting that it's Dale Jr. I don't think we ever see Junior buy a Cup team, at least not while the charter system is in place.

There have also been some rumors stirring for the better part of the last year that the Andrettis would consider getting into NASCAR, but I think there's too many moving parts there. Most notably, I'm not sure that they would want to work with any of the current manufacturers.

Ware being willing to sell out isn't exactly a shocker. Rick Ware is a business man before he is anything else, and in this case, the business just happens to be racing. IF he sells, I think it's way more likely that we see an existing team who wants to expand making a move for the charter. Who could that be?

We know it can't be HMS or JGR, as they both have 4.
RFK seems poised to be jumping from 2-3 this coming season.
RCR can't even field 2 competitive cars, no reason to add a third.
Trackhouse is expanding from 2-3 this season. Doubt that they go ahead and make the jump to 4.
Legacy can't field 2 competitive cars.
I don't think Spire is in the right spot to make that jump.

Penske has 3 drivers and has now won the last 3 championships. I'm not sure why they haven't already made the move to 4 cars. I have to think they could land the sponsorship. Outside of them, I don't see an existing team that's ready to make that move.

Yeah I doubt that it's Dale Jr. based on his past comments. Even then, this has been speculated a lot in recent years.

RFK would be my best guess.

The only way that I can imagine it being something to sit down for is if someone noteworthy currently out of the sport was interested in running a cup team.

I just don't know that the RFK news would be shocking. We've been hearing Preece to them in the Kroger's car for months now. There's also a chance that the post came from a social media account trying to drive interactions.

Due to regulations in their industry, 3Chi couldn’t sponsor Kyle Busch this year until the finale in Phoenix. They ended up running the scheme they used throughout 2023. Here’s a design shared by 3Chi that NASCAR apparently didn’t approve.

I've been working on a silly season chart in a google doc for most of the second half of the season. I'm gonna try to have it done some time in the next week or so. Even got down to tracking moves in the truck series.

Probably late to deliver news but... Adam Alexander, Steve Letarte and Dale Jr. will be in the booth for the NASCAR cup races on TNT and Amazon. Looks like Steve Letarte is staying at NBC also, which means that he will be very busy next year while calling the majority of the cup races.

I had wondered how things would shake up at FOX with the Xfinity Series going to The CW.

TBH folks, I'm burned out on NASCAR. Please don't get me wrong, I'm glad that I enjoyed watching the races, enjoyed talking to you guys about it, it's still been a blast. I do thank you all for making it all happen.
