Fans voted and the TNA Board of Directors listened! Beginning this week at our New York tapings, the 6-sided ring returns to IMPACT Wrestling!

Last week, IMPACTWrestling.com posted a poll for the fans to vote on their favorite TNA ring, 4-sides or 6-sides. We can now exclusively report that the TNA Board of Directors requested this information during a series of closed door meetings regarding the future of TNA Wrestling. Fans voted overwhelmingly for one of the options and this was presented to the Board during another private meeting today.

Giving the fans a major voice in the decision, the TNA Board of Directors has just revealed to IMPACTWrestling.com their decision to reintroduce the 6-sided ring! Effective immediately, the new 6-sided ring is set to debut at the upcoming IMPACT television taping on June 25th at New York City’s famed Manhattan Center.

Witness the return of #6Sides this week during the #TNANYC IMPACT tapings!

Pretty meh decision really, but that describes the company now. Thoughts?

That ring is stiffer than a regular ring because of the way it's set up, it has some other pillars underneath the ring and the spring is tighter. Never let fans decide on what surface these guys are going to bump on.

I'm with Deezy on this one. You can't let a bunch of rednecks and handicapped people decide the direction of your company.

It really makes no difference because as TAFKACLB said it should not be top of TNA's list, but I guess it was a symbol of TNA's identity from the past and to give fans some power at least engages with the customers.

They need to work on their program, not worry about stupid stuff like a dangerous 6 sided ring. I was attracted to TNA partially because they got rid of that stupid thing and it felt like pro wrestling for a change.

I don't care if it's 11 sides, just don't make the thing so fucking small. If you're gonna go 6 sides, you gotta make it bigger. A 4 Way dance looks like a fucking Royal Rumble . #LOLTNA

I liked it, made matches way more interesting imo.

Not gonna make me watch wrestling again, but hey, good for TNA.

This ring set them aside from all other North American promotions. Since TNA has no ability to innovate, it was inevitable that they would start bringing things like this back. Better this than bringing back say, a Hardcore division.

I guess I'll be fair here even if it's a dangerous and dumb idea, my two favorite matches in TNA history happened in a six sided ring.

Styles/Joe at Turning Point 2005 and Styles/Daniels/Joe at Unbreakable 2005. Not that fuckin' cage with Triple X and AMW with one of the stupidest moves in wrestling history.

I am always watching WWE, TNA, ROH and New Japan.

There is not enough time in the day to watch all the wrestling I want to watch. I have UFC, Bellator and Glory events I still need to watch but I don't have the time because I would rather watch the glory of pro wrestling.

Pro Wrestling is my crack right now.

Honestly I think it's sad to devote your life to being a fan of wrestling. Even MMA got boring to me once they flooded the market with it.

I love MMA and Pro Wrestling. I actually train MMA as well and hope to try Pro Wrestling but lessons are super expensive plus I'm getting kind of old.

I agree about MMA getting boring, Daniel Bryan actually got me back into WWE.

Daniel Bryan loves MMA!
