Something people don't know about you.

So, another thread idea came to me because of some stuff that happened in the chat. What's something that people here, or at least most people here don't really know about you?

Mine was the fact I'm a Mormon. A lot of people are always shocked by it, and always follow up asking about how many wives I'm gonna have. Only for me to have to explain to them LDS and FLDS, and how I'm on the LDS side, and they don't practice that anymore. People are probably shocked by it, for the fact that they are a lot of things I don't follow, and that I never go to church etc.

This is well known to people in my real life obviously, but not my online life. I got hit by a drunk driver in 2017. It was midday, she was so drunk she had no idea what suburb she was in and she'd already gotten in trouble for it in the past. She came out of literally nowhere and plowed right into me. I broke my shoulder, my other arm and cracked my pelvis - my shoulder was completely shattered in 5 places. It was so badly broken they couldn't repair it and had to put in a metal plate and screws to hold it together.

So I had no usable arms for awhile, which made things... hard lol. The accident happened the day before my Dad's birthday, what a great present for him, right? His only child almost dies, happy birthday Dad!! I celebrated a milestone birthday with a broken shoulder, meaning I couldn't really have a party or do anything. It sucked.

Today, my shoulder is at like maybe 70% usage. I can't lift anything and I can't reach up over my own head. I can't sleep on either side now cos it aches after only a few minutes. Drunk driver lady went to court and ended up in lockdown rehab, and she'll never be allowed to drive again. They said I'd get compensation but I'm not holding my breath, it was almost 3 years ago now lol.

(also you know what kept me sane when I was stuck at home for weeks on end after the accident? Wrestling! I watched so much wrestling to keep my mind occupied, it saved me from dying of boredom)

Damn.... that’s horrible. I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that. Drunk drivers can all fuck off. They out here hurting people but some how always aren’t hurt. Glad it’s better now even if a little bit.

Yeah, whenever I hear about drunk drivers now, I get really mad. It's personal to me.

But I do know how lucky I am to still be here, hence why I am usually so over the top positive and like I am haha. I think it changed me
