Scary Movie 5 is coming!

The project was announced back in 2009 and it was said that director David Zucker, who helmed the previous two movies in the series as well as some of greatest spoof movies of all time (like Airplane!) would be back helming it, though there's been no definite word whether series regulars Anna Faris and Regina Hall would be joining him. There have even been a number of presumably fake posters that have cropped up in the last few years there are certainly a lot of horror movies worth spoofing since the previous Scary Movie 4 was released over five years ago. There's Paranormal Activity for one and all the alien invasion movies that have been released in recent months. Who knows? Maybe they can even spoof Wes Craven's Scream 4 being that the original Scary Movie was basically a spoof of that series. Right now, we have no other information other than the release date of April 20, 2012, but we'll definitely be working on it in the weeks to come.

Those posters have been around for years.

After the fourth one and how horrible it was, I don't know if I want a fifth. I loved the first three, but the fourth was just wow. :facepalm: It had its funny parts, but overall was horrible.

Stan Helsing was pretty much a Scary Movie spinoff and it was bad...

unless they bring back the Wayans they can GTFO...and no Leslie Nielsen so that is a strike against them....

and I will say I really like Not Another Teen Movie....it's probably my favorite spoof movie not made in the 80's

Scary Movie 5 is the fifth movie in the "Scary Movie" series. So far the makers have revealed that they are interested in spoofing The Final Destination trilogy, Paranormal Activity and that they may also spoof Child's Play film series in the upcoming sequel Scary Movie 5 movie. The film is set for a release in April 20, 2012.

David Zucker is expected to be returning as main director.

The series' main stars Anna Faris, Anthony Anderson and Regina Hall is rumored to return in sequel

I am still skeptical after how bad 4 was. Personally they should just call it a series and forget it.

I don't know. If the Wayans would return then I would agree. I will wait until I see a trailer or hear anything substantial about it.
