Roman Reigns hopes SummerSlam will be the last time he faces Brock Lesnar.
Reigns appeared on Monday's edition of The Today Show and was asked if his match against Lesnar at SummerSlam will be the last time the two face each other.
"I hope it's the last time," Reigns said. "It hurts, it's brutal being in the ring with Brock. He's a big, old country boy and he's got such a great, legitimate background. I mean, he started out as an amateur wrestler, all the way through the collegiate ranks into the UFC, as everybody knows, heavyweight champion. He's dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is that Roman Reigns showed up and took over."
Reigns and Lesnar have had five singles matches previously. Lesnar won the first two at WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble. Reigns has won the last three at SummerSlam 2018, Crown Jewel 2021, and WrestleMania 38.
Reigns also spoke about how his recent change to a reduced work schedule has allowed him to develop deeper bonds with his five children.
"My schedule shifted around a little bit so I have a lot more time at home now and I can feel that relationship strengthening and those bonds are getting better and better. So, it's a very blessed situation."
Reigns vs. Lesnar will headline WWE SummerSlam on Saturday, July 30 from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN.
