Hello, I figured that it'd be fun to have a mini-rumble discussion/topic since we're 8 days away from the big ppv.

I'll start by sharing my rumble list first :trips8

My Favorite Men's Rumble matches from Best to Worst:

1. 2004 rumble match
2. 1992 rumble match
3. 2009 rumble match
4. 2003 rumble match
5. 2001 rumble match
6. 2006 rumble match
7. 2005 rumble match
8. 2008 rumble match
9. 2007 rumble match
10. 2018 Men's Rumble match
11. 2021 Men's Rumble match
12. 1998 rumble match
13. 1991 rumble match
14. 2016 rumble match
15. 1994 rumble match
16. 1997 rumble match
17. 2019 Men's Rumble match
18. 2013 rumble match
19. 2014 rumble match
20. 1996 rumble match
21. 2011 rumble match
22. 1989 rumble match
23. 1999 rumble match (remember being entertained throughout for the most part)
24. 2000 rumble match
25. 2002 rumble match
26. 2017 rumble match
27. 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble match
28. 2020 Men's Rumble match (disliked the 1st half)
29. 1990 rumble match (remember most of the 2nd half being weak compared to the 1st half)
30. 1995 rumble match
31. 1988 rumble match
32. 2010 rumble match
33. 1993 rumble match
34. 2012 rumble match
35. 2015 rumble match

Honestly, I don't dislike ANY rumble match until AFTER #31.

I remember #31 being average/basic for a rumble match (which is forgivable due to the 1988 edition being the 1st rumble ever).

#20 through #30 were (just) decent rumbles to me.

I thought #18 through #19 were good rumbles.

#14 through #17 were really good rumbles to me.

I thought #11 through #13 were pretty good rumbles.

#5 through #10 were pretty damn good rumbles to me.

I thought #4 was a great rumble match.

The Top 3 are outstanding/excellent rumble matches to me.

The 2000s were honestly a great decade for rumble matches (especially throughout the Ruthless Aggression Era), which made ranking them VERY difficult for me :p

The 2010s were mostly a weak decade for rumble matches outside of a few really good ones (2018 Men's, 2016, and 2019 Men's).

My Favorite Women's Rumble matches from Best to Worst:

1. 2021 Women's Rumble match
2. 2018 Women's Rumble match
3. 2019 Women's Rumble match
4. 2020 Women's Rumble match

Outside of a few dumb minutes that involved the 24/7 shenanigans, the 2021 edition is pretty much the only rumble that didn't have much flaws. Outside of the winner, the rumble match itself was really good (y)

The 2018 edition and the 2019 edition are fairly good, but I lean more toward the former due to the nostalgia acts/legends adding more hype for the 1st Women's rumble match ever.

I thought the 2020 edition was paced poorly overall for the most part. The match itself was decent at best to me.

1989 > 1988

1992
> 1998 > 1991 > 1994 > 1997 > 1996 > 1999 > 1990 > 1995 > 1993

2004
> 2009 > 2003 > 2001 > 2006 > 2005 > 2008 > 2007 > 2000 > 2002

2018 Men's
> 2016 > 2019 Men's > 2013 > 2014 > 2011 > 2017 > 2018 GRR > 2010 > 2012 > 2015

2021 Men's
> 2020 Men's

2021 Women's
> 2018 Women's > 2019 Women's > 2020 Women's

This is just how I rate them personally though :p

Anyway, please feel free to share your favorite rumbles and rank them from best to worst ( :drose ) if you wish to do so :)

Man, to make a list I'd have to rewatch most of them but 1992 has always been my favorite.

Yeah, same deal here KIF. I can't remember some of them well. I know 2012 is one of my least favourite. There was no star power in it, and aside from some okay surprises it was just a very underwhelming Rumble & winner.

2020 is one of the recent ones that is up at the top of my list. I'd say 2000, 2008 and 2004 are my overall favourites.

Lmao there’s no way I can rank every damn rumble. There’s way to many to make a “one better than the other” ranking like that.

The worst I can remember is 2017. There were no surprise entrants and no creative eliminations. Even the three big name entrants (Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and Undertaker) had nothing to do. It was just really boring.

The best would be 2004. Chris Benoit entering at number 1 and winning was amazing and it had arguably the greatest ending in Rumble history.

You just made me realize I meant 2018 not 2017 on my list :lol didn't mind 2017 that much but 2018 with Shinsuke winning was what I was thinking of

Yeah I was wondering why you’d put 2017 as one of your best lmao. To me it was one of the worst :lol

Yea, the 2018 Men’s Rumble match was easily my favorite one over this past decade.

The 2017 rumble was alright, but I thought it’s relatively below-average compared to most of the other rumbles :p
