Blockbuster was Friday nights, it was so exciting to get out of school and run to rent some games. I didn’t rent movies as much.

Maaaaaaaan, that place as my shit back in the day. I remember being a kid and my Grandpa got the membership their that let you rent games and keep them as long as you wanted, and had me on it so I didn't even need him. I would walk up there so much, get a game and keep it for awhile, or take it back fast depending on how fun it was. Some games I kept almost two weeks, some I kept maybe 3 days. Was the coolest way to actually try out games.

Hahaha I had that membership too, you could trade games whenever you wanted, no charge. Some days, I’d be there like 3 times changing games lol they knew me well.

Renting games was so underrated. We've pretty much regressed in that sense. I feel like demos aren't really a thing anymore, it's either buy the whole game or tough luck. At least in the UK. I think US still has Redbox. I don't know about you guys, but dropping full price on a game just isn't for me anymore. I'll choose maybe 1-2 games the whole year that actually really interest me, and even then I extensively research them and wait for reviews so I don't waste my money.
