New hair colour? Check. Beyonce on break? Check. 100 singles from current LP? Check.
It could only mean one thing: a new Rihanna campaign on the horizon!
And after confirming that she’s microwaving a new batch of fast-food hits (to serve up before the year’s end), it seems the model is gearing up to give fans a taste much sooner than expected.
Full story below…

For, according to MTV Pop Line, Fenty is set to premiere her new single this Friday – on stage during her headlining set at Rock In Rio. It is believed the song is produced by Calvin Harris.

Ok, we get it. She can’t sit down or she’ll be forgotten. We get it. But premiering a Rihanna launch single live?! Def Jam may want to re-think that one.

I mean, having spent many years and dollars establishing her as a radio act (and little else), that’s perhaps the best arena to unleash her latest creation. How else will the production bells and whistles used to hide her lack of talent do just that…hide her lack of talent?
Still, perhaps the relative success of ‘LOUD’ has her and her team feeling brave this go round. Indeed, even yours truly is eager to see how they build on it. Will this be the project that finally establishes RiRi as more than a successful punchline? Or will she continue to rely on her usual array of gimmicky tricks to stay relevant? Time will tell…

Via Twitter, Bieber and his team have indicated that Sean Kingston and Taylor Swift have recorded songs with him, and on Tuesday, he tweeted that Boyz II Men are joining the mix.
“2day i woke up and realized that the group that made me want to sing @BoyzIIMen are now on the christmas album singing with me. #DREAMBIG,” Bieber wrote. “i used 2 listen to their music and practice the runs. that is how i learned how to sing. now im in the studio with them making music 2gether.

“im telling you…never say never…never stop dreaming….never give up,” he continued. “#DREAMBIG. @BoyzIIMen Im honored and blessed. thank u.”
The love didn’t end there. Members of the group also took to Twitter to give the 17-year-old some props for extending an invitation to them to work with him on their album. “it was a pleasure! Remember what we talked about in the studio Lil bro! Let’s do it again sooner than later!! … We got love for u lil bro!! Thank YOU, and Thanx for everything u do for ur fans!! I KNOW they appreciate it.”

It’s not the first time Bieber and the Boyz have worked together. The iconic ’90s R&B group appeared in his 3-D flick, “Never Say Never,” earlier this year. When the film was released back in March, the singer cited the group as one of his favorite musical influences. “My fans inspire me, as well as my mom inspires me and my dad and God inspires me,” he said. “I’ve looked up to a lot of musicians, like Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men. … I met Boyz II Men. I didn’t get to meet Michael Jackson.”
No official date for the Christmas album has been announced yet, but Bieber did tweet this hint: “thinking about starting christmas early…like november. #newmusic.”

Recent months have seen Camp Britney Spears successfully avoid or deal with a number of minor controversies.
Much to the delight of her fan base who have managed to enjoy this era of her music without the media hoo ha that plagued her career circa 2006/2007.
However, in which will be sure to serve as bad news for Team Brit, her recent video shoot for the single ‘Criminal‘ which was shot in London days ago, has now found both she and the video’s production team in scorching political water.
Find out why below…
According to London’s Hackney Council which covers the area in which Spears’ filmed the video, they did not agree for guns of any kind to be used in the video when approached by its production team.
Speaking to London Tonight, the council explained:
We did not agree that a replica gun could be used at Stoke Newington Town Hall and we are disappointed… We will be raising this matter with the production company.
Going onto state:
I think she should apologise and make a sizeable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people… for the rudeness and damage she’s done to this community.
It is only a music video but it’s images like this, with popstars glamorising gangs, which means that some young people… get drawn in. Britney should really know better.
Sheesh!
It is unfortunate that Britney has found herself at the center of such a controversial issue, in a city where the majority of teen deaths are gun related.
Whilst some will put the decision to use a fire arm in the video down to ignorance, it is worth wondering how much research actually goes into the location’s of these videos when these locations are chosen to be used for filming purposes.

For with her LP ‘Femme Fatale‘ under performing in most markets, the last thing she needs if for ‘Criminal’s video to face a ban in a country where so many of her closest rivals continue to thrive.

Rihanna Readies ‘We Found Love’ Video

‘Wack’,'Generic’, ‘Basic’. Just a few of the words you, the That Grape Juice faithful, used to describe Rihanna’s latest creation ‘We Found Love’.
Undeterred by the sour reaction (much of which came from her own fans), the model and her team are heading across the pond to shoot the single’s accompanying video. Much sooner than you’d think too.
Full story below…

According to the French arm of her label, Label Barclay, the 23 year old is set to shoot the clip’s visual here in London town – next week.
Director details are set to follow.
—————————-
And to think this is the same ‘artist’ who, as of two weeks ago, was gearing up for a re-release of her 10-month old ‘Loud’ LP. 10 days later and…BAM…new look, new single, new videos.
Then again, this is someone whose career is comparable to a microwaveable dinner. It may delight you for now, yet never truly fills nor satisfies.

Her latest album ‘Born This Way’ may have hit stores less than a year ago, but fans of Pop Empress Lady GaGa won’t have to wait too long before they can expect its follow up.
For just hours ago, the ‘Pokerface‘ maestra revealed that she has already began work on a brand new album whilst making preparations for the upcoming ‘Born This Way Ball‘.
All the details below…

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, she confessed:
I’m actually already working on my next album. So I’ve been working on that.
I’ve been planning the next tour, which keeps me very excited and busy because I have lots of new ideas, and I know exactly how I want it to look.
Going onto add:
I’m also planning my next music video. I have lots of thing to do.
Like many of her fans, we here at That Grape Juice wonder if this new project be a ‘Born This Way’ re-release or an entirely separate stand alone project.
Re-release or not, here’s to hoping this new album sees Ms. ‘Hollywood‘ deliver material all can enjoy.
For whilst ‘The Fame Monster’ and ‘Born This Way‘ remain to be fan favorites, there are still some critics who feel GaGa abandoned certain demographics once she ended her much loved ‘The Fame’ era.

Hot Shots: Mariah Carey Reunites With Jermaine Dupri

Together they’ve conjured up some of the biggest hits of the last 20 years, and by the looks of it seem to be cooking up more. Of course, we’re talking about Mariah Carey and hitmaker Jermaine Dupri.
The pair were snapped back in the studio together this weekend, presumably for Carey’s hotly anticipated new studio album.
Despite boasting a long list of smashes, both are at points of their careers where they need to serve up something fresh, new, and resonating. Qualities Carey went in search of in 2009 (to little avail) when she ditched Durpi for The Dream on chart flop ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’.
In any case, here’s hoping they whip up something more than ‘We Belong Together’ re-hashes ala the bulk of their work on their last substancial outing ‘E=MC2′. For, they are clearly capable of greatness; and oh is the industry in need of that right now.
