Hahah I know! AJ was surprising but the reason Kenny would be even more surprising is that there are sources that say his contract with NJPW runs till next year at the very least. But Kenny coming out at 30 would be so frigging epic too XD

I'm not expecting to see him at the Rumble(I also think it would be a bad idea, because he shouldn't and wouldn't win) but if it does happen, which it won't(gotta keep telling myself that:angry I would lose my shit.
P.S. I'm a few minutes into this video, and he also said that his dream match is Vs AJ Styles at Wrestlemania. Sure he dropped a few more clues in this Q&A.

AJ's debut was in the same city he spent 10 years working. And AJ also had a decade + of US TV presence. I don't think Kenny, who's spent close to 10 years wrestling on the Japanese independent scene would get anywhere near as big a reaction. Even with the year he had in New Japan. The amount of WWE fans that also watch other wrestling is very small, and the group who watches foreign wrestling with non English as commentary even smaller.

As for the Rumble: Kenny is advertised for New Japan's New Japan Cup in March so there's that.

I'm still saying he isn't debuting. I'm not going to get my hopes up. Would it be cool? Yes, it would be. But, with how many predicted 'returns' and 'debuts' for this Rumble, not all of them will happen, especially with 22 people already being announced for the Rumble and most of them being decent sized names.

He literally just announced on Wrestling Observer Radio that he is not in the rumble, and is negotiating a new contract extension with New Japan in February
