Official 2020 NFL Season Thread

I'm a fan of Garrett and don't really care for Rudolph much, but I'm fine with this. I'm kinda surprised the NFL went that hard with the indefinite suspension instead of just a few games, but that hit was crazy uncalled for. I'm a fan of fights like most people in sports but just fuckin' use your fists, there's no reason to swing your helmet at a dude's head, that could have done some serious damage.

Yeah he should get a few more games next Season to nip it in the butt I feel. I know one thing Myles Garrett wouldn't of done that to Big Ben that's for damn sure. Ben would of been the guy needing to be pulled off of Garrett. All this drams fuels the rivalry next Season when Big Ben does come back.

KC, Jets, Buffallo, SF, Washington, and Detroit have their Franchise QBs as do my Eagles, but I wonder if those teams want to sign him to play something more than just QB? Almost like using him for Trick plays, but I mean he can play TE if he wanted to with his size.

I don't think they necessarily have their "Franchise QB" as none of them have proven anything yet (Detroit the lone exception).

The way I see it, if you add in the Bengals and the Dolphins, I could see Kaepernick being signed by any one of these teams as a stop-gap QB to start for them while their other QBs either A.) develop further; or b.) get drafted.

My thoughts on Kap are pretty much the same they've been for a few years now. A lot of teams would benefit from him in this current fairly weak QB market, but his first FA run was focused so much on the kneeling and his outspoken-ness that I'm not surprised he wasn't signed especially with how much he was supposedly asking. I don't necessarily think he wanted to be signed bc it helped his message and brand if he wasn't, so he kinda made sure he wasn't signed himself.

I do overall agree with his message as well and I still think he went about it fine at first, especially considering it was an armed forces member in the first place that said kneeling during the anthem would be a good way to peacefully protest as opposed to just sitting down during it, but he shoots himself in the foot a lot such as after this workout with the stuff he said about Goodell afterwards. Teams just don't want to risk that negative publicity, which is kinda funny to me though bc of other guys who have been given second chances in the league for much worse things (and actual crimes), but I think they're worried Kap could actually cost them money such as when Papa Johns pulled out of sponsoring the NFL due to the original kneeling epidemic. Either way, I don't think he's gonna be that good if he is signed, but he'll probably be better than at least a few of the QBs we see on Sundays in this current league.

He's a publicity whore nowadays.....I don't even think he knows what he was proteating to begin with. He's not Muhammad Ali, Ali could actually speak eloquently on the issues he was protesting. Kap sounds like a moron.
