yeah but Burfict has name value over some kid who couldn't make it in the nfl. Is it right? No. Should he never be able to play again. Yes. The fact is your gonna see these guys in the XFL the possible AB, Kap, Martvis Bryant, Randy Gregory, guys like that simply because they got name power and will sell tickets the AAF biggest downfall was that. Vince knows you got the stars you got the names of guys who will give your league publicity even if its bad people gonna talk about it and that is all Vince cares about.
And guys like Hakeem Nicks and the cornucopia of big names aren't enough?
If a player is known for using steroids, hurting other people intentionally and being a cancer anywhere, then nobody is going to want him except the worst possible teams, and even the Browns wouldn't fucking touch him.
As for those names: Kaep wanted $12 Million for the XFL. AB won't work for the money XFL is giving, Martavis Bryant is suspended indefinitely and likely won't take the money XFL is giving. Randy Gregory still plays for the Cowboys, so that's an obvious no.
Also the AAF downfall wasn't drawing power. It was the fact they had no money saved up when they started and were practically bankrupt after two weeks. That had nothing to do with the names they had, because universally it was praised for being simple and fun to watch, even if the guys weren't fit to be in the NFL.
