NXT from Full Sail University DISCUSSION

As people may or may not already be aware, the new NXT from Full Sail University is debuting this coming Tuesday although it's time and place of airing is still to be confirmed I believe?

Use this thread to discuss the show, but please don't post any spoilers in here, use the dedicated spoiler thread located HERE for that.

To kick it off, here is a promotional video that has leaked out advertising it's debut next week. It's not a direct spoiler, but does show several glimpses of who will be appearing on the show so if that's classed as spoiler to you, don't watch the following video

Promotional video wasn't leaked, it aired like 3 times on this week's NXT, so it's definitely not a spoiler because you would have seen it if you watched NXT this week.

 

[Dale]

Ok that's alright then, just not seen any mention of it on wwe.com or anything though which is strange.

 

[Chris]

They've done horrible at plugging this. If there's not even a mention of it on Raw, I'll be disappointed. This week on NXT was the first there's been any mention of it on WWE programming or their website.

 

[Troy]

About time they started a new season and brought in a new roster. Looking forward to seeing the new guys get a chance to shine and hopefully do better than those picked for the last couple of season of NXT. Interested in seeing the kind of atmosphere that has been created at the university.

 

[Chris]

This is basically FCW TV now right? FCW had their last batch of TV tapings earlier this week, so I'm guessing this new NXT is replacing that, but with more of the lower-card main roster guys on it. Sounds pretty damn awesome.

 

[Troy]

Yeah this is the only television FCW has now. It is FCW guys plus some RAW and Smackdown wrestlers to fill out the show. I think that there won't be any ridiculous challenges which will be a massive improvement. Better if it is used as a developmental brand where stars get their first shot and then get promoted from there.

 

[Chris]

It's a great way to develop talent, and I expect it to be much like NXT has been in the last few months, no stupid challenges, just mainly wrestling, and of course with more/different people. I wonder how many actual storylines this will have?

 

[Troy]

That is what is so hard to tell just from the spoilers, we don't get any indication of whether or not they are setting up some storylines on the show or if it really is just random matches each week. Maybe they need a few weeks to get settled before we see what the show will actually be like. I wonder if they are going to have titles on the show?

WWE has removed all listings and links for WWE NXT on their website, so it appears the rebranded version of the series, featuring mostly WWE developmental talents, will not be made available online officially by the company.

Maybe it'll be on WWE's Youtube channel?

True, maybe they will actually try to sell it like they broadcasting live on YouTube

 

[Troy]

Would be better if they actually tried to sell it to a tv station to get it aired on tv again. But that is unlikely to happen so it will probably go to Youtube before becoming part of the Network. Hopefully it will still be airing in Australia.

So presumably then this has aired just nobody has a fucking clue where or when?

If it's in the same spot on Sky Sports as the old NXT was, gonna have to wait like another 9 days I think.

It should air today in Australia so I will see which show we get, hopefully it is the new one. It is still listed as WWE NXT in the tv guide so it should be the new show.
