In a post on another thread I was talking about a thing we do not have in the present era of WWE and That's Novel calibur Storylines. Here is the post:
You see in this present Era there aren't any Novel like Storylines. Most of your Novel based Storylines are battles between two elite Superstars that can go on and off in a specific time for a very long time, maybe even their whole career for some. I believe some that don't go on and off, some can go straight through a year depending how good it is. Stories can feature more than two guys but mostly it's two.
And not just any two guys they have to have perfect chemistry.
In the Reality Era it seems there's is no one to fit into a Novel based Story. Because truly 90% of the time we get tired of the story after a month. There are some special rivalries in WWE. But we get tired of them at the most a month..
Seth Rollins is good but I cannot think of the perfect one in WWE who would be his Novel Rival. I cannot think of one for Joe, Balor, Braun, Ambrose, and MOST of all Reigns.
There has got to be a perfect match for These guys to have a Novel based Rival.
Some of the Novel Rivalries
were bigger than business itself. Like how Lebron James and Michael Jordan is.
Even guys who never watched wrestling knew about Andre The Giant vs Hulk Hogan. They kinda looked at it like a Roman Mythology thing. I guess you can call it American Mythology.
But IDK if they could ever again pull one off. There last one to me was the Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Undertaker end of an era rivalry. But they're adding more chapters to that. It's either that or John Cena vs The Rock. I don't consider Roman vs Lesnar a Novel it's a coloring book or a comic
What do you all think? Can they do another one? Who are perfect for one? Anything else you think?
2. Deep Interesting Novel story lines: Storylines that are worthy of a best selling Novel. Undertaker and Kane 90s, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, Rock and Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, Stone Cold and Vince McMahon, Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle, etc. Those rivalries were not just great Storylines but they were like Legends or Tales you would pass down to your children and their children. These rivalries could last more than a year and the fans would not be tired. They always gave you a great story and a great match to back it up. Nowadays they give you rivalries that you'd be tired of after a week.
