The Rock or Austin?

I thought about having a few of these threads. You pick which ever wrestler helped the WWE more, who was the better wrestler all round which includes charisma, attitude etc...And who you would pick to lead your company.

This is a tough call, I'm gonna have to say Austin though by a hair. He set up the attitude era, had a fantastic gimmick, great wrestler, great brawler, one of the best WWF champs of all time, no attitude problems from what I know of, and was just a great competitor. He put on great fueds no matter who it was with, funny as hell and could play the heel or the face perfectly. Part of historical fueds vs HHH, The Rock, Corporate Ministry, Alliance vs the WWE, Vince, Angle. The Rock had it all but I think Austin was a bigger help to the success of the attitude era and part of more classic fueds which is why he gets the edge for me. I would have Austin lead my company if I was to start one right now. Rock is busy with hollywood, and Austin could be a huge help backstage and be a great on screen GM.

Austin really did make WWE what it is today, it's people like Rock,Austin and Hogan who deserve all the Credit. I wont say that Rock was bigger than Austin but he was the same as Austin, both together build the Wwe.
As for the Future and right now, your Damn Right Austin could be a Great Moneymaker for Wwe right now,Austin recently said in some Interview that he is never going to Wrestle again because his Wrestling Days are over and his Backstage Promo's and Stuff like coming to the Ring and giving Guys some Stunner's it's nothing but sh*t so Austin and Wwe is just Impossible.

this is a tough call, rock was big fast charismatic, cut great promos, great wrestling ability, and could fight. austin was charismatic, cuz great promos also, wasn't quite as good of an actual wrestler as the rock, but was a much better brawler/fighter. they both had a huge impact on the business, and contributed a lot to wwe.

overall, i'd have to agree and say that Austin was more important than the rock, and did more to help out the business. He had arguably the most memorable feud of all time against vince, which was always entertaining. he also shifted WWf into the attitude era with his antics... he also had the most memorable segments ever(liek when he filled vinces vette with cement).

as for my company if i started one, i would probably want the rock to be the top face, he hasn't been in the wrestling scene in a while. Seeing as austin can't wrestle anymore choosin him seems like sopmewhat of a waste to me, he would be a great gm like you said, but him as a gm wouldn't do as much for the company as the rock would as a champion.

i have to say the rock. more electrifying in the ring, can be useful in any feud anytime and hes funny as shit.

edit- they r like tom n jerry so its 2 close to call. both are fun alone and great as great can be when together.

This is a tough call but I'll say that Austin helped the company more. His fued with Vince really helped the WWF beat WCW in the ratings. If it wasn't for Austin the WWE might not be what it is today.

For entertainment though The Rock is better. He was electrifying, he cut great promos, had great charisma, and was just someone who could make the fans laugh.

Austin may have helped the company more, but Rock was always my fav. If I were starting a company today id choose The Rock cuz he is younger and could still wrestle if he wanted to. Having Austin there wouldnt serve much of a purpose. Austin is great im just more of a Rock guy.

^^ Agreed The Rock has always been my favourite wrestler and will always be. The Rock was more entertaining and I could see him carrying a company better than Austin. He is younger and more marketable.

I was really stuck on this one as Austin is really great at doing his redneck gimmick and lways stuvck it to the man, but overall The Rock is slightly cooler. Remember his line to Austin before Survivor Series about how "the Rock never forgets" and then he gave him the rock bottom. My favourite moment in the netire Invasion storyline.
