I have more news on the Pens as they have reported that they have resigned yet another player. The Pens have re-signed forward Pascal Dupuis to a four-year contract. The deal runs through 2016-17. Shero is doing work this summer.

Dupuis had a really good regular season this year so that doesn't surprise me.

still undecided on the Lecavalier signing in Philly.... while he's a very good player, they were already looking at having cap issues (the reason they cut ties with Brierre) and signing a guy for that much dough really hamstrings them in terms of making other deals this offseason.... pretty sure they coulda resigned Brierre for half of what they paid Vinnie and then addressed the 2 areas the team really needs help, defense and in the net.....

With free agency starting today, the Shero went straight to work. It was confirmed that the Penguins signed defenseman Rob Scuderi to a four-year contract. My friend was saying that this is a big contract considering Scuderi's age.

My friend wanted the Penguins to sign Viktor Stalberg but was disappointed when Bob McKenzie reported that Stalberg signed with Nashville.

Good signing for Philly getting Ray Emery.... don't think he or Steve Mason is the long term answer but both are solid enough with how up against the cap they are.... like the Giroux extension as well..... Still think Holmgren has to make another trade or 2 and they will surely get Pronger's money off the books to keep from going over the cap..
