I'd selfishly like him in aew since I rate him pretty high but I'd also like to see him pushed seriously at least as a Midcard act. He would certainly be x division material at minimum.

See if AEW wasn’t getting a lot of talent recently, I’d say AEW. But I hate him to go here and just get lost again, which is something he clearly doesn’t want. If he would be guaranteed to be used, 100% be good with AEW. But I surely could see Impact actually using him

Initially thought the same but then I just figured it's the usual 'I'm shackled and held back in this company' but said in a different way.

I took it as other places he can wrestle, will let him follow these other dreams as well. Remember WWE rarely lets you do things outside of their walls or anything like that. AEW, Impact, etc probably will be more open to let him follow those dreams as well

Considering the fact that they had him cut a "You people" promo despite his work out of the ring to focus on "breaking stereotypes" in wrestling, I don't blame him on that alone. Then add the potential refusal to grant him paternity leave, yeah I understand. He can go anywhere and do well, whether as a Jr heavyweight in NJPW, Impact's X division, perhaps AEW if they weren't so loaded with talent.
