Yes, I'm making a thread about this feud because I really feel that it deserves one. I'm sure just like everyone else when I heard MVP would be facing Miz for the US Title was reaction was "Holy shit again with MVP for the US Title??"
Let's face it, since turning MVP face they've given us absolutely no reason to care about the guy or cheer for him. Everything they attempted to do with him they stopped dead in its tracks, even his pairing with Mark Henry which could have went somewhere if they would have pushed them towards the tag titles.

It's no secret that Miz is head and shoulders above most of the roster as far as mic skills goes. Last night he came out and cut and an absolutely incredible promo, a near shoot, on MVP. No matter what this guy does he's got the crowd in the palm of his hand. I figured hey, MVP is going to come out and cut some generic face promo and Miz will run away scared.
MVP then proceeded to cut what I would say was one of the best promos of his career thus far. The entire segment was fucking intense and actually gave us a reason to give a shit about MVP! It's almost as if WWE creative was like "Hey, wasn't that guy MVP pretty decent on the mic and pretty damn over? Didn't we turn him face? Maybe we should do something with that."
The segment was honestly IMO the best executed and most effecting feud furthering/setting up/intensifying thing on RAW in a good LONG time.
1. Miz is over as fuck
2. MVP managed to redeem his shitty character and get himself back over in a matter of a few sentences
3. MIZ DID NOT PUSSY OUT AND RUN! You see WWE, just because someone is a heel doesn't mean they always need to sneak attack or run like a fucking bitch! Sometimes a head to head confrontation works!

Now mind you, this is our feud for the fucking US Title, which is honestly shaping up to be a hell of a lot better than ANY other title feud in the WWE at the moment? What else do we have?
"WAAAA YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MY FRIEND!"
"CHILL OUT ESSAY!"
"GRRRR MUST BURY..RIP"

"OI CENA, DIS IS MOI DUBBYA DUBBYA E TOYTLE FELLAH!"

If this Miz/MVP thing was for the WWE or WHC title, I don't think you'd hear a single complaint out of anyone's mouth because it's the best looking title feud we've seen in a long time.

Anyway...what do you guys think of this feud?

I prefer not to comment much on the actual feuds just for the sake of not looking that bad if next week they hotshot MVP vs Miz and wrap up the deal and the same people who praise the whole deal turn on it.

MVP just showed he responds when given the ball. When he manages to work the mic, he always gets the crowd to respond to him. He did the same in his affair with Swagger on the summer. He just needs a little more trust.

Just please WWE, develop the feud more.

PS: Heel Batista is the win, so is Sheamus.

Meh. I have to admit, MVP upped the ante a bit last nigh and the promo was gold but I still don't give a shit about him. I just want to know that if MVP never had a rough background, what would ALL of his promos be based on. Regardless, I doubt this going to Royal Rumble. The title match will more than likey be next week or the week after.

With that said, I think Miz needs to move on to bigger and better things however so losing the title is a good move. With MVP champ, we can finally see some buried heels like Swagger find something. And also, Miz maybe move to ME status.

Batista would be a much better heel if they didn't make him and Rey look like Tom and Jerry

Noumenon i was going to make a thread like this lol. I agree MVP last night stepped up his game. Lets hope they don't drop the ball here and have him lose easily or lose at all. Id even go as far as saying as soon as he beats the miz for the title turn him heel, keep the ball rolling.

No why would he turn heel. The whole point is how much he is getting over with the fans. Who would he feud with if he was face other than Kofi

That is the exact point miz masta. People think ooo we cheer MVP now hes on a roll then BAM! Heel turn, it will make you hate him more trust me. That is why Vince and Kurt angle had so many turns in the early 2000's. To make storylines work.

Both MVP and Miz delivered great promos on RAW last night but nobody gave a shit because until just now MVP did nothing. He was pretty over when he first came to RAW but after he lost the title he went back to jobber status. Then he was in a tag team with Henry and nobody really cared even with the WWE attempting to build them up against Jeri-Show. After that he goes back to jobber status yet again until two weeks ago when he won the fatal four way.

It was just so random and there was no build up at all for his win. He had zero momentum when he won the fatal four way. So now he's trying to build himself back up but it takes time and the WWE might be looking at MVP like he can't draw nearly weeks after him jobbing. I felt bad to see Miz getting way more cheers then MVP. The WWE killed all his momentum and now they randomly through him in a fued with the Miz who is one of the lucky few who has actually managed to stay above jobber status.

Honestly, as much as I like MVP I find it extremely hard to even give a shit about him anymore. As much as I would love a Miz/MVP feud I can't see it happening. I mean wasn't Orton/MVP also supposed to happen and look at what happened?

You can't blame it on MVP though. The guy has proved multiple times what he can do given the chance. They have the guy a 2 minute promo spot yesterday to prove himself and he did just that. Every time the ball is put in his court he fuckin runs with it. He was more than ready for a WWE title shot during his heel run on Smackdown but sadly horrible booking ruined that for him and nothing else. If this feud continues the way it started off last night there's no doubt in my mind we could be looking at two of the most over people in the company by its finish.

A little bit ago I said that WWE had completely forgotten how to have two people feud and neither man lose any value and both men actually elevate their stature in the eyes of fans. This feud actually showed they could do just that. Hopefully they continue the momentum and won't fuck it all up.
