The TNA live event in Cape Girardeau, Missouri started last night with a TNA agent coming out and announcing that Chris Sabin, Garett Bischoff, Jay Bradley, Wes Brisco, Gail Kim and Miss Tessmacher would not be allowed to compete by the Missouri Athletic Commission because they did not have licenses to wrestle.

Around 500 fans were in attendance for the 90 minute show. The card featured just 5 matches and 3 of those 5 featured the same four wrestlers. Quick results look like this:

* Bully Ray beat James Storm
* Devon beat Gunner
* Samoa Joe beat Bobby Roode
* Gunner and James Storm beat Ray and Devon
* Jeff Hardy beat Kurt Angle

TNA officials tried to make up for the problems by inviting all fans backstage after the show to meet wrestlers for free. However, Jeff Hardy charged $20 for a photo and fans could not get his autograph. This led to some of the people that paid $65 for VIP tickets to be upset that fans were getting what they paid for for free.

Yeah I'd have got my money back.

Re: lol TNA

Who the hell still requires wrestling licenses? But it goes both ways. Why would you become a wrestler without getting a wrestling license.

And Jeff Hardy charging 20 just for a picture? Acting like he's the God of Wrestling or something.

Exactly, me and my buddy were going to go, but instead we decided not to waste our money. I've been to house shows before, there not too great.

Jesus christ this is not a good look at all. A company that is on T.V and supposed to be the number 2 wrestling company in the U.S isn't supposed to be ran like some indy fed. Need to get their shit together badly.

Why Would They Tell Fans About What Happen? Chris Sabin Could Have Come Out For a Interview. Have Gail Kim And Tessmacher Perform In a Bikini Contest

Pretty sure if you don't have the licenses you can't be part of the event. Like you have to have it to be a performer basically. Licenses is just a money grab though. I'd like to know A. Why they wouldn't already have them B. Why the legal team didn't see this coming C. how they only had what ten people on hand for this event

Re: lol TNA

Turn them into a parody show like The Office, but about wrestling.

I am deadly serious.

Re: lol TNA

What baffles me the most is that Sabin is the WORLD FREAKING CHAMPION! And he's a ten year vet. No one stopped to think "Hey, is the guy that holds the biggest belt in this company even licensed to wrestle?" Not at all. Terrible, terrible management.

That is the biggest thing to me but I'm guessing it is cause of them not wanting to pay that many guys to work the house shows since unless it has changed a good bit of the guys on the rosters are on a pay per show basis. Even in that case though to only have a handful of guys for the event to the point of guys having to work multiple matches is embarrassing.
