So I will say I was outspoken on the early relationship between WWE and Saudi. ‘Oh, they say they want women to wrestle over there, but like, I don’t know if I believe it. There’s no women on this card.’ There’s women on the card [now] -- and I’ve talked to the women personally that have been over there. And they’re like, ‘It's unbelievable. There are women crying, never thinking they would get to see two women be so strong in the ring.' They’re like, ‘It's really powerful. You’re gonna enjoy that.' And so, sure, do they have a long way to go? Do we as a society have a long way to go? Absolutely, but you’ve got to take the opportunities when they’re there.

Yeah its easy to call her a hypocrite in a vacuum but she was only critical about the lack of women's matches and now there is women's matches. She never had any of the other political criticisms that obviously haven't changed

But agreed I'm sure the paycheck helps regardless

Also I didn't read full context but I think she brought up her past opinions on the shows herself instead of being questioned about them, so she was conscious of it instead of just taking money and forgetting what she'd said before

Lol I agree with Dale and we already talked about this in the EC thread. She was critical on there not being women's matches, they added women's matches. But yeah I'm not doing Saudi shit today

Yeah sorry I think there's just more dollar signs so she cares less. Nothings changed in Saudi n allowing women in sweatshirts isn't as much of a big deal as they've convinced themselves of. They know it's morally shitty regardless, money talks. Nothing has changed lol

I think a lot has changed from WWE asking if they could do a women's match two shows in a row and getting denied to now being allowed to do multiple even of they have to wear sleeves like the Abu Dhabi match Sasha and Alexa did years ago

Is it enough change? No. Is Saudi a reputable country for women's rights? No. Is it mostly political theater? Yes

But it's still change to me
