The following dark match took place before Raw at the Target Center in Minneapolis:

Dolph Ziggler defeated D-Lo Brown in 5:00. Before the match, Ziggler took the microphone and said, "I'm Dolph Ziggler." He was booed heavily and set the microphone down. Brown was over huge with the Minneapolis crowd.

Ziggler controlled the opening minutes of the match before D-Lo scored some offense of his own. After D-Lo missed a moonsault, Ziggler hit the Flatliner for the win...

After the match, Ziggler addressed the crowd once again. "I'm Dolph Ziggler... and it's nice to meet you."

I hope he quits doing that....I guess he's going to be a heel w/ an annoying gimmick :g:

This is such a dumb gimmick, I don't understand how THIS is going to help the guy get over. What is he? Babyface, heel? Its terrible.

Maybe he'll have like a nerd gimmick and his promos will talk about how he's an expert at World of Warcraft and wanted to meet people in person and become popular and explain why he got that horrible tan. >_>

This gimmick rules... Well, it might just be me that thinks that, but still.

On his way down to the ring, he should stop at random fans along the entrance ramp, and introduce himself to every single one of them ("Hi, Dolph Ziggler"). Then before the match starts, he should introduce himself to his opponent ("Hi, Dolph Ziggler") then precede to beat the crap out of them, before saying his goodbyes ("Dolph Ziggler, it was nice meeting you"), and heading backstage to go introduce himself some more.

Ah yes, this guy is gonna be a huge star. :)

i like it so far. it might end up getting annoying but right now i think its good. the bad thing is is that i dont think that it will get him anywhere except 2-3 IC titles

I dont see him getting anywhere imo. He just seems to generic for me, and the gimmick is a little strange too. Maybe an IC title run in the coming years, other than that I can't really see him doing anything other than forming a tag team.

^bring back the Spirit Squad with all the same people but they all have different names, except Kenny. They can change the team name to something gay too
