Kimbo Slice, the backyard-brawling internet sensation and MMA fighter who died Monday night at 42, was awaiting a heart transplant, according to a
South Florida Sun Sentinel report.
Slice -- who was born Kevin Ferguson and lived in Coral Springs, Florida -- had been in intensive care at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida, with heart failure since Friday, according to a medical report obtained by the newspaper.
Slice's coach, Mike Brown, told ESPN's Brett Okamoto that the fighter hadn't been healthy for a while and was planning on pulling out of his Bellator fight scheduled for July 16.
Between him and Dada 5000, Bellator gonna be a smoking crater after this.
