Falling Out Between HBK and Triple H?
Date Added: November 23rd, 2008
Story By: Rocco McCone

Rumor has it that tonight there was an argument between Shawn Michaels and Triple H that almost went to blows. Several sources backstage are saying the fight stemmed from Survivor Series’ Main Event tonight, where the Triple H defeated the Undertaker to win the WWE Championship. We do not have any more information on the story, but we do understand that Michaels was extremely angry with the outcome and the sources tell us he felt screwed. We don’t know exactly what that means and we’ll have more as it comes in
.

Some more light has been shed on the fight between Shawn Michaels and Triple H last night. From what our sources tell us Michaels (who was said to have a hand in the booking process) did not know the outcome of the Main Event last night, and thought Undertaker would retain after a DQ run-in from Batista. Sources also said that Michaels’ plan was to wrestle what would probably be his last wrestling match against Triple H at Wrestlemania 25. Recently rumors have run rampant that Michaels did indeed want to retire in his home state of Texas at what would be the company’s biggest pay-per-view this decade. Apparently Michaels wanted to set up an angle that would be starting on Smackdown this Friday between himself and Triple H, and it would go for several months until their encounter at Wrestlemania 25, but Michaels did not want the WWE title to be part of the angle at all, hoping to give younger guys like MVP and Jeff Hardy a chance at the spotlight. This would explain why Michaels was recently traded to Smackdown for Mr. Kennedy (who is supposedly going to go into his own program for the World Heavyweight title against new champion Kane). We don’t quite know all the facts but tonight’s Raw should be interesting, since both Triple H and Michaels are expected to be there, but not expected to appear on-screen.

BREAKING NEWS: Shawn Michaels QUITS WWE
Date Added: November 25th, 2008
Story By: Herman Kosher

Several sources have confirmed that Shawn Michaels has quit the WWE. The 42-year-old Superstar, who has been with the company for over 20 years, has quit after a power struggle against Triple H and Vince McMahon. From what we understand, Triple H and Vince both wanted Triple H in the main event defending the WWE title at Wrestlemania 25, and they did not even want him to defend it against HBK, despite the fact that they told him that was the plan. Michaels, who was apparently kept in the dark the whole time, found out after Triple H defeated Undertaker for the WWE title at Survivor Series. Apparently the plan they had for Michaels was for him to face the Undertaker, in a match of two Texas wrestlers, but Michaels did not want to have his last match against the Undertaker (who he still feels resentment towards) in a losing effort, since he knew ‘Taker wouldn’t lose at Wrestlemania. Michaels confronted McMahon last night, he demanded an answer, but Vince “blew him off”. Michaels then told Vince, “It’s either me or Paul [Levesque {Triple H}].” Vince didn’t answer, so Shawn took that for an answer and left the building. WWE Corporate received Shawn Michaels’ resignation this morning. From what we understand Michaels will receive a massive financial loss for breach of contract. We’ll have more on this later.

-Everything that was posted yesterday has been confirmed by both Michaels and Arn Anderson about why Michaels quit. Michaels felt hurt and embarrassed that he was kept in the dark so long, and said he felt “screwed”. The WWE Website currently has nothing on Michaels leaving, and last night’s Smackdown tapings Michaels was not even mentioned, despite his hard-fought battle with Umaga at Survivor Series. Michaels, who has constantly put over wrestlers since his return to the WWE, felt it was his time to shine one last time, but said he was betrayed by his supposed best friend.
-We have received word that Mr. Kennedy, MVP and Matt Hardy have all quit from WWE. Apparently they quit together in protest of Michaels’ treatment.

More Superstars Quit the WWE
Date Added November 30th, 2008
Story By: Herman Kosher

We have just gotten word that both Edge and John “Bradshaw” Leyfield have quit the WWE. These two men, who (aside from Kane and Chris Jericho) are the cornerstone for Raw’s heels, were also both said to have been unhappy with both the treatment of Shawn Michaels and the way their characters have been going. With new champion Kane said to keep the belt until Royal Rumble, (only to lose it John Cena who would in turn defend it at Wrestlemania to Batista) Orton and Leyfield said they felt they were lost in the shuffle of Raw’s Main Eventers (which also includes Kane, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and Chris Jericho).

Internal Problems at TNA?
Date Added: December 13th, 2008
Story By: Dave McKenzie

Apparently Kurt Angle’s backstage behavior has once again cause some friction in TNA. Their next Pay-Per-View, Turning Point, is tomorrow but it appears that there are conflicting opinions as to the outcome of the main event. From what we understand Angle is resolute in that he should get another reign as champion, while Samoa Joe is refusing to give it back to Angle, and believes instead it should be given to not only a younger talent but a company man in Kaz. Apparently Angle feels Kaz isn’t ready for the belt, and doesn’t think Kaz should even be in the triple-threat Main Event. Several people backstage, including Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Booker T, and Kevin Nash, have all been trying to help cooler heads prevail, but so far nothing is working.

More Problems for Turning Point

Story By: Simon Crumple

With Turning Point set to being in just under two hours, there is still strife backstage at how the main event will turn out. Several ideas have been thrown out, but they have all been shot down by Angle or Joe. There seems to be no real idea as to how the match will end, and it might not even be decided until minutes before the match begins.

Kaz comes out, then Angle. Then Samoa Joe doesn’t come out. Booker T comes out, and announces that Joe couldn’t make it. What the hell? Booker comes down to the ring, then Kevin Nash. What’s going on? Cornette comes out and says that instead of the triple threat there will be a fatal four-way match to determine the number 1 contender for the TNA World title! The crowd is booing as the match starts. Well, Kaz goes for Booker and Angle goes for Nash and here we go…

BREAKING NEWS: Samoa Joe walks away from TNA!
Date Added: December 16th, 2008
Story By: Rocco McCone

Several sources at TNA have confirmed that Samoa Joe has quit TNA. We all know that Joe was in Washington D.C. and backstage at Turning Point, but he refused to come to a decision with management and left the arena before the main event, which explains the sudden change to the match and addition of Booker T and Kevin Nash. We learned today that Joe got back to Orlando last night before the rest of the wrestlers, and at 8 a.m. handed Dixie Carter herself the TNA World Heavyweight Championship belt and said, “I quit”. This really is a blow to TNA since Joe was going to be their one “home-grown” talent that was going to get them to level of WWE. We don’t know how TNA is going to explain Joe’s departure on-screen, as well as what to do with the TNA title now. We’ll have more as it develops.

Eric Bischoff Looking to Establish New Wrestling Company?
Date Added: January 5th, 2009
Story By: Steven Manning

Word has it Eric Bischoff is looking for backers for him to start a new federation. There were rumors last year of Bischoff wanting to do the same thing, with him working with Hulk Hogan. These plans fell through now, and Hulk Hogan is seemingly not an option after Hulk filed for chapter 11 following the scandal with his wife. Rumor has it Bischoff has met with both Ric Flair and Bret Hart, but nothing official has come out of it

BREAKING NEWS: Bischoff Confirms Backers for New Wrestling Promotion!
Date Added: January 20th, 2009
Story By: Steven Manning

Today Eric Bischoff organized a press conference and announced that he does indeed have plans to create a new wrestling federation, and that it’s first show will happen within the next six months! He said he has two people backing it. The first one is recent Powerball winner Rex McLord, who at the age of only 19 won 328 million dollars in the lottery. McLord, who is an avid wrestling fan, contacted Bischoff when he heard of Bischoff’s plans. McLord said he wants to take a backseat though, and will not appear on-screen at all. In fact he said he would have no say in the running the business at all; he’s only putting the money up. A little strange. And the other backer? None other than Shawn Michaels! Michaels (who recently quit WWE) also contacted Bischoff upon hearing his plans and said he would love to be a part of it somehow. Not only is Michaels going to be part of the management for Bischoff’s new promotion, he would also be wrestling in it full-time, forgoing his previous statement that his last match would be in March at Wrestlemania. We’ll have much more on this as it develops. Click here for the full video of the press conference (Flash
).

More Info On Bischoff’s New Wrestling Promotion Including Several New Signings!
Date Added: January 25th, 2009
Story By: Rocco McCone

-First of all a name has been chosen for the company.
Bischoff has choosen the promotions name to be Wrestling Action, Revolutionary Grappling, and Modern Extreme Sports (WARGAMES)

-Also announced was that the promotion’s first show, called Genesis, will air on Pay-Per-View on July 4th, 2009.

-Probably the biggest announcement is six huge names already signed to the new promotion. Those names are:

Matt Hardy
Mr. Kennedy
Montel Vontavious Porter
John “Bradshaw”Leyfield
Edge
Samoa Joe

The five WWE guys will finish their 60-day no-compete clause tomorrow, and have already signed exclusive contracts. Joe’s 60-day clause still has another three weeks to go, but he has already promised Bischoff and Michaels he will stay with them.

TNA Releases 2 Stars, News About Wrestlemania
Date Added: February 16th, 2009
Story By: Herman Kosher

-TNA Wrestling has released both members of the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. We don’t have any details as to why the former TNA Tag Team Champions were released.
-As we saw last night at No Way Out, John Cena defeated Chris Jericho to retain the World Title, and Batista defeated Mr. Kennedy, Rey Mysterio, and Kane in a fatal-fourway to determine the number 1 contender. This means that the original plan of Cena vs. Batista for the WWE Title is still on for Wrestlemania.
-Due to the controversial finish between CM Punk and Randy Orton, we don’t know who the number one contender is for Triple H’s WWE title.
-The current plan for Undertaker is to face Chris Jericho in a cross-promotional match. We’ll see what happens on tonight’s Raw

We have just received word that just one day after Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were released from TNA, they have signed exclusive contracts with Eric Bischoff’s new promotion. This brings the roster up to nine.

Yet Another Release By TNA

TNA Wrestling has released Rhino. Rhino got his notice today with almost no warning. Apparently his release is due to budget cuts, as was the reason for the release of the Motor City Machine Guns

WARGAMES Signs Rhino
Date Added: February 28th, 2009
Story By: Steven Manning

In what seems like déjà vu from two weeks ago, Rhino, a day after being released from TNA, has signed with WARGAMES. Of course he and the Motor City Machine Guns have to wait out their 60-day no-compete clause, but Genesis isn’t until July 4th, so of course they will be able to wrestle on the fourth.

Indy Veteran Signs with WARGAMES
Date Added: March 12th, 2009
Story By: Dave McKenzie

We have just received word that former ECW, WCW, WWE, and TNA star Jerry Lynn has signed on with Eric Bischoff’s brand-new WARGAMES promotion. Lynn was signed on not just for his talent and reputation, but also because Shawn Michaels wanted some more veterans on the roster. Michaels and John “Bradshaw” Leyfield are really the only two “older” guys on the roster, and Michaels believed Lynn would be a great addition to help younger talent. The addition Jerry Lynn now makes only ten wrestlers on the roster.

More Info on WARGAMES: Genesis
Date Added: March 20th, 2009
Story By: Rocco McCone

The WARGAMES site posted some more information about their first Pay-Per-View, aptly named “Genesis”. Here’s a quick rundown:

-Genesis will take place over the 4th of July weekend, with Night 1 being on the third and Night 2 being on the fourth.
-The show’s location will be the AT&T Center, which is in San Antonio, Texas (Shawn Michaels’ hometown).
-It will be on Pay-Per-View for all major cable and satellite companies, and will only be $10 for each night, making the entire event only $20 to watch.
-There will be a fan festival beforehand, where anyone who has a ticket to the show can meet with all the members of the roster for free.
-There aren’t any matches scheduled; only a 24-man tournament to crown the first WARGAMES Heavyweight Champion has been announced.
-Tickets range from $10-$100 (Click here for Ticketmaster info)

The 24-man tournament is interesting, because there are only ten men on the roster so far. We haven’t gotten any official word that WARGAMES is looking for any specific talent, whether it’s from WWE, TNA, or an independent promotion.

WWE to Do Another Round of Roster Purging After ‘Mania?
Date Added: March 29th, 2009
Story By: Herman Kosher

With Wrestlemania only a week away, rumors have been running rampant about the WWE releasing several somewhat major stars for budget cuts. Although there have been no official notices, we can expect that in the next three weeks the WWE will release at least ten individuals from their roster. I guess we’ll find out after the fifth.

Anyway, the thread is looking great, and I really like the idea of WARGAMES as an acronym. Anyway, the backstory is great, and good luck.
