To me it seems like since this Punk angle Cena has become a lot more serious and focussed. He has stopped cracking stupid childish jokes and his delivery is a bit more grown-up and it appeals to kids and adults. His promo on RAW last night was great how he had so much passion and delivered it without any of his usual theatrics. I like the direction that his character has gone in the past few months and I hope that it continues.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the change in John Cena's delivery in the past month or two and is anyone else really enjoying it?

I have really liked it for the most part. I never was a fan of Cena's character and always still have that eight year old heart inside me where I still boo guys I hate but obviously he is one of the most respected guys ever to step foot in the ring. Cena has impressed with how aggressive he has looked and has put on top matches. I will still boo him from time to time because well I still got the kid in me, but Cena has turned it up a lot.

I expected John Cena to change to this tone when his feud with the Rock was really hot. I knew that Cena can appeal to a greater audience because he can cut serious promos pretty well. That is one of the reasons why I never disliked Cena; he can become very interesting if he tries.

Technically, any person/character who changes from being comic to being completely serious/angry should attract great attention. With John Cena being the case, the attention is amplified because of his stardom and importance.

I've seen Cena turn up the heat before guys when its been needed, The times that stand out have been with Edge and Orton. But i think because of the dynamic of the situation with Punk and how far WWE were into they're PG movement its came off a little stronger, Which to be honest is true but i don't see his character being affected too much...We will still get the quirky jokes here and there.

Cena was good, but my only beef is how this whole storyline fell apart.
I believe it would have been more significant if essentially Punk and Cena switched roles.

I was disappointed that Punk/Cena stopped so early as well but I hope that overall something bigger can come of this and that there are still some great payoffs to come with the storyline.

Just seems like Cena is just venting his frustration with certain fans.
