So the title says it all. I'm playing SD! SYM on YouTube so I felt I should share it here. Join the journey of "Iron Bull" Scott Anderson (of the Anderson family :side: ) as he is locked forever in 2002 WWE. What will happen in this series? Will Anderson jump to the top of the food chain? Or will he flounder as a rookie and face certain destruction among the roster? Find out in this video series brought to you by Grim of Grim's Game Reviews.

So we create a legacy in this episode. Starting with the name: "Iron Bull" Scott Anderson. He is "related" to the famed Anderson family, Arn, Ole (actually from Minnesota), Gene (actually from Minnesota), and Lars. It's never specified "how" he's related to them, so it could be he's a distant relative (akin to Karl Anderson). "Iron Bull" has finished his training down in OVW and from a letter of recommendation from Jim Cornette, has been brought up to WWE. His skills are far superior to peers of his age and the nickname is actually a rib. It's because he's quite stubborn and hot-headed like a bull. He also once broke his elbow after falling into a sheet of iron. So he took the nickname and ran with it.

Interesting Character Notes:

Disposition:
He's going to be a neutral character in a time when those were few and far between. It's not so much that he's grey, but that he's willing to do what it takes to win, even if it betrays everything he regards as righteous and true. He's not averse to cheating to win if he has to, but prefers that he doesn't have to.

Finishers: Decided to go with a big two of Emerald Fusion and a Jacknife. Fitting in with his strategy of inflicting as much damage to the head (this was 2002, so...) as possible to incapacitate his opponents. The Jacknife will be seen less than the EF, but it's more a secondary finisher to put down bigger name opponents when the EF doesn't work. Think of it as an Uber-Finisher.

I skipped the moveset part of the video but man this reminded me of the struggle of creating realistic looking Caws on these older games :lmao I had already had a pretty set dude that I made on SVR 06 that I tried to recreate as best as I could on other games, and then when I went back and played these again proper it was hard af to transition him on them

I admit the Moveset part is probably the most boring part of the series, but thank goodness it's only on the first episode haha. Now we get to the fun stuff.

The legacy begins as "Iron Bull" Scott Anderson officially makes his debut on HeAt. In the first two months of his career, he has racked up wins left and right and has made an enemy of many fellow superstars. He also gained a friend.
Interesting Character Notes:

Feuds:
The headcanon has already taken off with great ideas for how these feuds are. Already, Scott Anderson has made an enemy of Bradshaw and Matt Hardy. Bradshaw has been the laughing stock of the feud due to Anderson embarrassing him in a non-title Street Fight. This led to him losing the Hardcore championship to Goldust the next week. Anderson has begun contending for that championship.

Allies: Fellow rookie Maven has joined Anderson's side as a friend. Both gentlemen are trying to get their foot in the door and what better way than teaming up together. Will Anderson have more to do with Maven or is this a short-term affair? You be the judge. :side:

Championship Contention: "Iron Bull" has racked up enough wins to finally be in contention for the WWE Hardcore Championship. Can he beat Goldust with Bradshaw looking to win it back, and can he fend off an angered Matt Hardy as well? Who knows!

Interestingly enough I used to have a main back in the day named The Iron Bull that resembled a cross between Batista and Scott Steiner.

F5 was one of his finishes. That takes me back.

Tell me about how hard it is to make realistic looking dudes on SmackDown games.

One of the reasons I lived No Mercy is the CAWS had the same bodies as the real superstars.

(For some reason, the game audio cut out. It's fixed in the next video.)

After finishing up his little rivalry with Bradshaw, Scott Anderson turned to bigger things: The Hardcore Championship. Having faced Goldust in a brutal hardcore match, he succeeded in achieving his first piece of gold in the WWE. This finally put Anderson over the hump to get on RAW. On RAW, he quickly gained reputation, being involved in a highly touted tag team match with the Undertaker vs. DDP and Rikishi. He also helped Test win King of The Ring to form "The Wrecking Crew"... what will happen with Taker and Test now?
Interesting Character Notes:

Feuds:
His feuds with Bradshaw and Matt Hardy pretty much wrap up to create a new rivalry with Goldust. Then we get the betrayal of a friendship between Rob Van Dam and Scott Anderson as he turns his back on Scott and the fans out of bitterness... Also Jeff Hardy wanted to get famous off of beating Anderson & Taker, so that happened as well...

Allies: I dropped Maven, because guy was giving Scott Anderson creepy vibes. Like he was into him or something. Anderson don't swing that way; Maven can stay in the cellar of HEAT for eternity in this time-loop. He also became friends with Test, who appears to be stuck in a time-loop... inside a time-loop... I'm going deeper Leo. For some reason, after Taker lost the WWE Undisputed Championship (to Chris Jericho, w00t), he chilled out and took me under his wing, I think.

Title Contention: Scott Anderson is the reigning and defending Hardcore Champion. How long he will hold that title is the question.
