After months of speculation members Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump have confirmed the band is no longer together.

Bass player Wentz, who hosted the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards last year says, “As far as I know Fall Out Boy is on a break. I can’t predict that I’d ever play in Fall Out Boy again.

“Something would have to change in my head or my heart – not my wallet. It’d have to be real.â€

Meanwhile frontman Stump told Spin.com, “I’m not in Fall Out Boy right now.â€

But the musician, who recently announced plans for his own solo album, maintained that the breakup is amicable.

He adds, “One way or another, the band will always be around…whether we play again or not, I don't know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don't, it will also be for the right reasons."

Thoughts? I for one am happy as fuck. I couldn't stand them.
