Impact Wrestling will be sticking with the commentary team of Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt moving forward.

According to a report from PWInsider, D'Lo Brown won't be returning to his position on the Impact Wrestling commentary team. Brown will continue working for the company behind the scenes.

PWinsider noted that, with Impact now back on the road, having Brown work as a color commentator was taking away from his other responsibilities. Also, Impact has reportedly been "blown away" by the team of Hannifan (formerly known as Tom Phillips in WWE) and Rehwoldt (formerly known as Aiden English).

Brown had been working as a color commentator for Impact since January 2021.

On an episode of Impact this January, Brown was put through a table by members of Honor No More. Rehwoldt then began appearing alongside Hannifan, with several members of the Impact roster also working on color commentary from time to time.

Hannifan started with Impact at January's Hard to Kill pay-per-view. He had previously been with WWE from 2012 to 2021.

I actually liked him on commentary but no surprise here and I'd actually agree Hannifan and Rehwolt have blown me away too even if it took me forever to remember their shoot last names

The dude is doing commentary for NJPW too and was even the lead for a set of tapings recently. I knew we weren't crazy when we said he was actually good at this shit when they randomly stuck him on 205 lmao

Haven’t watched Impact in ages but I’m not shocked by the thought that Aiden English and Tom Phillips are good at commentary

WS is better at scouting commentators than people who are actually paid to find talent

That's the lowest of low bars tho tbf lol he's so much better than Striker was as well tho which is saying something bc I liked Striker except he would manage to force in whining about cancel culture at the most random moments :lol pretty sure that was why he was let go bc Impact is a fairly apolitical company

Striker was good but I thought that back in his WWE days. Can come off as a douche at times but oh well

I think he's one of those that just needs to be reigned in, loved him in WWE for the most part but they kept him mostly filtered. Some of his AAA stuff was just atrocious, but part of that was also AAA not telling him shit so he was just confused what was happening :lol

I'd still rank Striker over a lot of current announcers, Impact just found someone better so it was a good business move.

Maybe Striker can be the control your narrative announcer :heston
