I think we're all doomed, but for a different reason.

Now that Marvel is going to be everything associated by Disney, the comic book purists will automatically trash any new movie that comes out. Probably with reasonable cause, but still. Even if the eventual Avengers Movie comes out in Theatres, it'll automatically be branded as kiddie crap due to being affiliated with Disney.

However, if they make Avengers some bullshit Pixar animated film > a real live action film with all the already previously established Avengers in previous movies, I too will shit on this before giving it a chance.
