I don't want to get my hopes up on this version being all that better (or even different for that), but the hype surrounding it from people involved has kinda got me at least hoping it is a good bit better :lol

For the record, I liked Justice League overall, it was a disappointment only when compared to Marvel movies for me, but I had a couple big complaints and a decent amount of minor ones even while being generous with the film.

Yeah I'm with ya and in general with the DC films before Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam I liked even with the negatives I saw including BVS. I still tear it up when towards the beginning of the JL Film when you see a Green Lantern die and you see the Ring leaving looking for a new chosen one. Even though I enjoyed the most recent films I'm going to need a JL film done right and another Man of Steel film please.

I can't wait to see a Full Trailer for the Snyder Cut especially seeing Wonder Woman terrified at the sight of Darkseid.

I still don't know why people think the Snyder cut will be magically great when his previous efforts were not.

It's not like he was in the right head space at the time of production(and who could blame him in his circumstances).

But come on.....feel like I'm just getting more Jesse Eisenberg.

IT'S A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR MARGOT ROBBIE.

The actor and her Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson are teaming for a new, female-fronted Pirates of the Caribbean movie for Disney, with Robbie attached to star.

The new project is said to be separate from the already announced reboot of the popular franchise that has Pirates scribe Ted Elliott and Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin developing the story.

“Batwoman” has found its new series lead, with Javicia Leslie set to step into the cape and cowl for the show’s upcoming second season on The CW.

“I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community,” Leslie said.

Leslie will portray a new character on the show named Ryan Wilder. She is described as likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane (previously played by Ruby Rose), the woman who wore the Batsuit before her. With no one in her life to keep her on track, Ryan spent years as a drug-runner, dodging the GCPD and masking her pain with bad habits. Today Ryan lives in her van with her plant. A girl who would steal milk for an alley cat and could also kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined. She is an out lesbian, athletic, raw, passionate, fallible, and very much not your stereotypical All-American hero.

Leslie takes over leading the series from Rose, who shocked fans when she announced her departure from the series in May.

Prior to joining “Batwoman,” Leslie starred on the CBS series “God Friended Me,” which aired for two seasons. That show was also produced by Warner Bros. Television. She also starred in the BET series “The Family Business” and the film “Always a Bridesmaid.”

She is repped by Stewart Talent and Thirdhill Entertainment.

“Batwoman” is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Caroline Dries developed the series and served as executive producer for season one with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. “Batwoman” is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.

The show is scheduled to return in January on Sunday nights on The CW.

Batwoman Show finds their new Batwoman. I never heard of the Actress previously, but I'm interested how they past the Cape and Cowl to her considering Rose won't be there to die off, but they could always use the Stuntwoman to do it, but damn the Writing is going to be very important vs Season 1 with Rose leaving. Hopefully she kills it.

A black Batwoman......I'm sure the nerds will accept that. :abandon:

Considering the writing for the first season was garbage.....I don't have faith in this show.

I tried hard to get into this show, but it was just boring.

How many Episodes did you see? I saw the whole Season and as a whole I liked it around a 7 outta 10 for me, but yeah the Writing was off for me too at times. I see that and then I see the greatness I'm watching with Stargirl and Doom Patrol early on and it's night and day.

Doom patrol is the shit, that's a great series..... first five episodes of Batwoman were not that.....and I stopped watching it after the big crossover storyline.

Ohh that was only a couple of Episodes though and I didn't see it either considering I've never watched Arrow, Flash, Supergirl etc. I would say though something happens from that which goes into the return of the Show and they tie it up nicely so you can understand what is going on really fast. I would say it gets better from there I thought.

The untitled police drama will be set in the same universe as the forthcoming feature film starring Robert Pattinson.
HBO Max and Matt Reeves, the filmmaker behind the new Batman movie, have teamed up to develop a police drama series set in the crime-infested streets of the Caped Crusader’s hometown Gotham City.

Terence Winter, who created the Prohibition crime drama Boardwalk Empire and cut his teeth on The Sopranos, will write and executive produce the series, which is coming with a series commitment from HBO Max. Batman producer Dylan Clark and Warner Bros. Television are also involved.

The series does not yet have a title, although some have been calling it Gotham Central, harkening back to the police procedural comic from writers Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka, and GCPD. Either way, it would deal with police detectives working in the shadow of one very batlike vigilante.

Here’s the cool wrinkle: The show will operate in the same story universe as Reeves’ movie, The Batman, which stars Robert Pattinson as Batman. It also has Jeffrey Wright in the role of detective or police commissioner James Gordon.

HBO Max says the series will be "set in the world Reeves is creating for The Batman feature film and will build upon the motion picture’s examination of the anatomy of corruption in Gotham City, ultimately launching a new Batman universe across multiple platforms. The series provides an unprecedented opportunity to extend the world established in the movie and further explore the myriad of compelling and complex characters of Gotham."

It is unclear whether Wright and Pattinson would appear in the show. No castings have been made at this early stage, sources say.

“This is an amazing opportunity, not only to expand the vision of the world I am creating in the film but to explore it in the kind of depth and detail that only a longform format can afford," said Reeves in a statement. "And getting to work with the incredibly talented Terence Winter, who has written so insightfully and powerfully about worlds of crime and corruption, is an absolute dream.”

The project comes together as Reeves moves his overall television deal from Disney-owned 20th Century Fox Television to Warner Bros. TV and would be one of the first projects out of that pact. (Reeves’ film deal remains with Netflix.)

“Our collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC allows us to elaborate and grow fan connections across these powerful brands for years to come," said HBO Max chief content officer Kevin Reilly. "This is Batman as most audiences have never seen before, and we know fans will want to spend more time in this new world inspired by the film."

Reeves’ 6th & Idaho production company will produce the series in association with Warner Bros. Television. Joining Winter as exec producers will be Reeves and Clark. 6th & Idaho’s Daniel Pipski (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and Adam Kassan (Tales From the Loop) will also exec produce. Rafi Crohn (Tales From the Loop) will co-executive produce.

Gotham City’s finest have already been the subject of a TV series. Gotham, which ran on Fox from 2014 to 2019, focused on a relatively young Gordon, played by Benjamin McKenzie, and featured the origins of Batman’s rogue’s gallery. And The CW already airs Batwoman, the Batman-centric show that this week tapped Javicia Leslie as the replacement for departing star Ruby Rose.

HBO Max has made developing DC-centric shows one of its top priorities and has J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot banner, among other producers, working on several supernatural shows based on DC intellectual property.

Winter, repped by CAA, also wrote The Wolf of Wall Street, which earned him a best adapted screenplay Oscar nomination. His work on Sopranos earned him 12 Emmy nominations and four wins.

Reeves is in prep to restart shooting Batman, which had paused due to the pandemic, this fall in the U.K. [/quote]

I mean we had a Gotham TV Show on Fox I dearly loved with Fox for Years and it dealt with Gotham before Batman got into the picture, but another Show sorta like that with Batman on the prowl already could be fun. I wonder though when you get where you want to go with this, you're going to see Batman so...who is gonna play him and how do you separate this TV Show vs the Film even though it's gonna be in the same Universe.

Pretty dope tbh, I've always enjoyed comic stories or tv episodes focused on Gotham PD so if that's what this is then it'll be cool af. Iffy on it being connected to the movie bc Marvel failed at that pretty hard I have to admit despite my love for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (watch the last season) but I do enjoy connected universes so much so I am a little excited.
