Cody Rhodes believes MJF will end up in WWE eventually.

Rhodes appeared on the Michael Kay Show recently and was asked about his former rival and the current AEW World Champion. Rhodes noted that he is proud of MJF and believes fans will see him in a WWE ring "one day."

Rhodes said:

I think one day we will see MJF in WWE.
For those who don’t know, MJF was one of my recruits and probably the one I’m the most excited about just because of his potential, his personality; his overall professionalism is beaming.
Rhodes believes the muscle mass MJF has added over the last year and a half would help him if he does decide to "make the jump" to WWE.

Rhodes continued:

One thing I’m proud of him for doing is, if you notice he’s put on a lot of muscle and he’s put it on safely over the last year and a half and when he does make that jump, and I don’t know when that is, if he makes the jump, but if he comes to WWE you have to stand across from guys like Drew McIntyre, you have to stand across from guys like Omos or gosh, Brock Lesnar.
Rhodes continued to suggest that MJF may have gained size in anticipation of eventually signing with WWE.

Watching him grow physically, it seems like maybe he knows where his future lies. But really, your guess is as good as mine. I never bother about him about it because I just want to remain the friends we've become today.

I agree he’ll end up there eventually. Probably in a few years when this new contract he has expires.

That would probably put him around 30. His best years will still be ahead of him

Another reason I think he’s re-signed is because he’s been Champion for a year.

Don’t know if you’d put the belt on someone for that long if you didn’t have some form of commitment from them.

Not a big fan of Cody saying this stuff, he's kind of Big Leaguing MJF and while I'm sure he'd love him in WWE, I don't think he really needed to say it. oh well.

It would be more surprising than not if at no point in the next 20-30 years, MJF does not appear in WWE. He has so much career in front of him still and shit changes in the wrestling landscape so rapidly, it's almost inconceivable that he wouldn't at least do a run in WWE at some point.

I dont think theyve actually said when his contract is up, just that its up in 2024. It could be up in the summer for all we know.

I believe MJF said Dec31st he's done in AEW but the rumors are secretly he's signed a new deal already.

Dec 31st of this year? If so that adds onto the rumor that he's dropping the belt to Joe also because of his injury.

Yeah Midnight (so technically January 1st maybe) would be when it expires. I see something going down because of it being his hometown and everything, going to be a real screwy finish

Yeah, I see MJF and Ricky in WWE some time soon. I think MJF has said working in WWE is a dream of his so I can see it happening.
