It looks like John Cena could miss in-ring action at WWE’s WrestleMania 32, Payback, Extreme Rules and Money In the Bank.

The latest internal ETA on Cena’s return to actual wrestling is July, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Everyone knows how Cena often returns ahead of schedule and that is always a possibility here. If Cena were out until late July, he could return at the Battleground pay-per-view on July 24th.

Cena just hit the 350-hour mark in his rehab for the shoulder surgery and many people expect him to make some sort of non-wrestling appearance at WrestleMania next month

I agree. If he's really going to be out that long, you have to have some grand return match for him at SummerSlam.

I hope by that point Roman Reigns has turned heel. Regardless, Cena would be the perfect way to get The Roman Empire over.

A feud and match between Roman and Cena would be awesome.

On the plus side, the neckbeards will finally appreciate him now that he's out.

Of course, they will. The biggest problem with John Cena is always being in the main event or a high profile match. Give us a break every once in a while, and we actually get a chance to miss him.

Cena has pretty much stepped away from the main event since he dropped the title to Brock. He'd main event when needed but it's pretty much been the Shield trio as the main eventers.

And he's JOHN CENA, a guy WWE will probably call the greatest of all time when he's done so every match he's in is gonna be high profile. Hell he had matches with Stardust over the summer that were considered high profile. Everything he does is high profile

Doesn't mean people don't want to occasionally take a breather from the guy. It also wasn't that long ago that he was main eventing SummerSlam with Seth Rollins.

Of course, WWE is going to want to put him in his United States Championship matches and hype them like they're world title matches, but it does get exhausting when Cena is always the center of the WWE promotional machine. This time away will give fans a chance to actually be excited for when he returns.

Cena is one of the greatest of all time in my opinion.

Match quality is right there with the GOATs, promos you can dig up are right there. The business he does, the make a wishes.

It's weird how people complain about part timers and yet it's always "go away Cena, stop being there for us week after week".

He's the constant for a reason, when the guys that are supposed to replace him drop the ball, there he is to pick it up and patch the potholes.

I rather see a Cena heel turn upon his return. That would make it so much more worth it.

Cena turns heel, he just flips the audience and I doubt he wants to turn his back on his fans.

Heels don't get make a wish requests.
