Lets take a moment to discuss the awesomeness that is BAD NEWS BARRETT.

Now I'm sure that most people would have seen the potential this guy had when he was originally on NXT and then as part of the Nexus as he had the size, presence and the mic ability. He did very little of note since The Nexus split until this new Bad News gimmick which seems to be brining around a resurgence for him.

I'm pretty sure it's not just me who's really enjoying this new character is it? I also feel like his ring work (from what i've seen these past few weeks) has improved a whole heap since his last run which was his biggest issue. I'm really hoping he takes the IC Title from Big E on Sunday and has a good solid run with it as the focus on Big E seems to fallen way off these past few months.

The gimmick obviously has the legs to last the course aswell because of the amount of 'cheap heat' promos he can cut on the towns / sports teams whenever the opportunity presents itself/

I've never had anything against Barrett like some people. I always thought he was good on the mic, but he just shows so much comfort with this character and he's fucking great at it. Just the way he carries himself now, it's different and he's much more enjoyable.

I'm digging the new direction with the character. I just wish he'd lose this infatuation with the jacket / cape thing he's been trying to do on his entrance since he came to the WWE. Overall though, I think the guy is getting pretty close to figuring out how to really connect with the audience.

I thought the BNB segments were stupid at first but it's done tremendously well at getting Barrett from nowhere to the roll he's on now. I've always liked Barrett and until now they've struggled to package him after Nexus, but BNB plays directly to Barrett's strength as a charismatic wanker on the mic which helps him get ahead of the pack a bit. I'm looking forward to what Wade Barrett does this year.

Think is he still overrated by people from his own country, he is a good mechanic and does what he is told, but let's be honest about this guy. He is meat and potatoes at best and isn't destined for superstardom. Also found it hilarious that people thought Bad New gimmick was a burial and he was destined for a release after it.

I was skeptical at first, not because of Barrett, but because of WWE's booking. But the crowd really got behind it, but more importantly (and you can see it in the HOF video), every single superstar is outright fascinated by it!

Barrett is on a role and he is impressively over!

Saw a report that Vince/Trips told him in a meeting to ACT LIKE a face in terms of working the crowd during a match and doing moves... but to promo like a full-blown heel. He's doing it and it is WORKING. Love everything about this character right now. Improved tenfold in the ring as well. Easily one of the top 5 characters right now.
