In an interview with BT Sport, Cain Velasquez spoke about how well other MMA fighters like Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier would do if they jumped to WWE. Here are highlights:

On if Conor McGregor would do well in WWE: “I think he’d be well suited because of his promos. That’s probably the hardest part and he nails that. And he’s just a great athlete so he can definitely do it, yeah!”

On Daniel Cormier: “A good buddy, Daniel Cormier. He’s got a great personality, he’s a great athlete and he’s been in love with this sport [WWE] since he was a kid as well. He grew up watching it and even now as an adult he’s a huge fan.”

On jumping to WWE after MMA: “For me it’s just turned up a notch, even like on social media I didn’t know how big the WWE was. Coming from the UFC that’s what I know, that’s the world that I’m really familiar with and I know the size of it and who’s into it and everything. Just the amount of people, you have something like WrestleMania and the UFC doesn’t pull those numbers like that, they just don’t.”

A level athletes with charisma and can speak infront of crowds.....of course they'd do well in WWE.

Should be the requirement for every wannabe pro wrestling school across the board.

Not sure I agree about DC really. Sure he's a fan and got the legit skills but I never really felt like he had that much of a personality outside of his Jon Jones beef.

Never hear him do commentary? Or promo other fights of his?

He's got chops.

McGregor is the shit, he'd be awesome instead of all these boring ass basic bitches.

I'd drop my pants ASAP if Frank Mir ever even considered.

He's done Josh Barnett's Bloodsport show last Mania weekend.

Legit not watched MMA outside of a fight or two in years. When I did watch though he just gave me the quintessential bland babyface personality that the WWE loves.

BREAKING: Cain Velasquez says what every fan with a bare minimum knowledge of wrestling and MMA has already said.

Yeah, Frank Mir is already in the business. I heard him the other day talking about training with Austin Aries.

Austin Aries
  • Great talker
  • Top tier worker
  • One of the best heels alive
  • Passionate about his craft
  • Gets it
  • Greatest Man That Ever Lived

Mir, if he does pursue wrestling as a full time thing, probably won't have the same issues Aries has with sticking around in a company long term.

Mainly because he probably only has around 5- 10 decent years in him anyways.

Man, I had no idea Mir was involved at all, I never see updates on his facebook page, but, facebook tends to not show posts from all the pages I follow for some reason, and, I don't go on Instagram as much, so, maybe I missed his posts regarding all that there.

I mean, I don't stalk hahaha

UFC can't control Conor McGregor, what chance does WWE have?.. He's too out of control for WWE to handle.. Cormier i agree would be phenomenal. He's a fan and has a wrestling background, he would be a quick learner and potentially a future World Champ.

Oh god please no more UFC people in wrestling. I'm tired of the ones we already have there, I don't want any more.
