Brock Lesnar may not defend his title at Summer Slam

Numerous source report that WWE may keep Brock Lesnar off the Summer Slam card. They say he isn't currently booked. Which I guess they mean it hasn't been set in stone that he is apart of Summer Slam. One of the reasons is because some sources say he has one match left on his contract.

IDK if this is 100% true, but this would be so horrible for Summer Slam not having both World Titles defended. If they do not have him defend the belt then he is getting away with too much.

What do you guys think about this?

I thought he signed a new contract before SummerSlam? The WWE must be shit negotiators if they could only get 2 matches out of him (GRR and his supposed one match left on his contract).

I just... I just want a World Champion on Raw again. Even if Seth and Dolph are putting five-star matches over the IC title each week, we just need one.

Like, one year of him defending the belt rarely wasn't bad as it made his defences mean more and when the challenger was right, who at least was someone we'd go "Hey, if they would change the course of their plans, they are a likely person to do it for," then it was great. But with all this time, it has made the Universal Title feel worthless. Finn Balor, minus the fans complaining about the belt design, won the title in a great match, and he had an injury. Then Kevin Owens won it in a shocker, and while he was entertaining, his title run was hurt over repetitive matches and he lost it in like 21 seconds. Then Goldberg won it despite being retired not too long before to hand it over to Brock Lesnar to avenge his WM 20 loss/sucky match and hold the title for the Big Dog, so we thought. Then the change of course on the plans just killed any potential Roman had to at least change some people's opinions with a good run with the belt and removed a lot of the interest over Brock Lesnar.

The Universal Title is cursed. It's fucking cursed.

I have to say your post and this quote is the most true thing I've heard about the Universal title.

It has become obvious that Brock Lesnar is basically the tyrant of WWE and the Title is his crown. Vince Mcmahon and others in charge of his contract practically bow down to him in order to keep him in WWE.

I remember when we use to have PPV caliber World TItle matches on the weekly shows. Now it gets defended once every blue moon.

All this stuff about Lesnsr being difficult to negotiate with and not agreeing to contract terms and wanting more money is a work. they are doing this to put him over as an asshole heel who doesnt give 2 shits about WWE and just wants that paycheck. Him basically holding the title hostage and being handed all these special privileges is meant to be disrespectful to the fans, so they will become invested in seeing him drop the belt

Last I heard this was based on a report that "right now they don't have Brock Lesnar on the cards for any upcoming PPV", with the context of they'll figure out what to do when the time comes.
The time is Summerslam, obv.
