So we kind of expected this to happen at SummerSlam or right around that time. It became "news" of sorts that it will be happening for sure. There are all kinds of rumors around who he is going to drop it to and how it is going to happen. There is another rumour going around that Vince may not have Roman win and instead have it be Setg, the guy it should be, or Braun, the guy everyone wants.

Reigns is supposed to be the face of the company, so it's not surprising. His match going on last instead of a WWE Championship match ought to show what position he is within the company. Besides, there's the "controversy" of the steel cage finish that Reigns can use to justify another match. I doubt WWE left that loose end to the story only to never tie it. Frankly I just want to get this thing over with. It feels like WWE stabbed us with a knife and is sitting there watching us bleed out rather than finishing the job with a gunshot to the head. No more gut stabs with Reigns failing to win the title, please. Put us out of our misery.

...putting the title on him would ensure it's a constant presence on television.

tbh, I'd rather have Reigns beat Lesnar now, to have an actual conclusion to this chapter and have Rollins win the Rumble or smth. Having Seth beat Lesnar now would be a bit out of the blue to me, especially given how weak he looked the last time he was up against Lesnar in a one on one match. I'm basically just pulling for a 2nd Shield triple threat for the title at Mania, so it doesn't really irk me who beats Lesnar rn
