Maybe people who live in America or canada can give me a bit of an impression of what this going to be like.

Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, I Heart Huckebees) stars as a writer who decides to set up his own private eye business after his girlfriend dumps him. And he drags his editor (the excellent Ted Danson) and buddy (Zach Galifianakas) along for the ride.

Now the trailer gives very little away, just them mainly goofing about, and doing quite wacky over the top things, along with the Galifianakas character telling him he is insane. Really it could go either way, either it will be a really shape, funny, but also dark look avenge people getting in over their heads, or it will go the self-indulgent over written, and stagey route. Its a good cast, and I do like colourful, black comedies when they work, so I will be giving this a try. Any thoughts?

Surprising that someone makes a thread about this since only the other week a friend of mine was recommending this show to me. I haven't seen any episodes but I am tempted to check it out to see what the fuss is about. Would be good to hear from some that have seen it.

Last season was very good, I like Ted Dansons character the best. Gallifinakis was someone I thought was going to steal the show, but Danson's pot smoking, womanizing, self aggrandizing self makes the show worth it.

Yeah I heard good things about Danson in this, I am a big fan of his anyway, his performance in Cheers is one of the greatest in Sitcom history!

The first episode was reasonable, a few rough edges like the over use on quiky indie music to signpost points. Schwartzman was decent, but I think it will work best when you get more of the three of them together. Certainly there is a promise there.

The show returns for a second season, it starts in the UK on Monday will be interesting to see how they move the characters forward.

I hope we see more of the gang out on cases, as I found some of the subplots destracting last season. It was mostly good, but there were weak episodes with a bit luck they it will be even better this time.
