Take this for what it's worth, guess we'll find out in due time. The concussion protocol story about Bobby Lashley that was sent out earlier by WWE appears to be a cover for a real injury.
Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide reported on The Ringer Wrestling Show that Lashley will undergo shoulder surgery and he will be out at least 4 months, which means that he will not be part of WrestleMania. If you watched Lashley’s match with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble then you would have noticed that Lashley was doing his best to not land on his shoulder when Lesnar was German suplexing him.
Famuyide said, “I have under good authority that Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match. If you’ve noticed, he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble.”
Famuyide added, “From what I’m told, it’s for at least 4 months. Shoulder surgery. I’m hearing that he might not even make it to Mania.”
As far as what this means for MVP, he has been working out to get in shape so it’s possible that he will return to in-ring action soon.
