Such a classic match with Billie Kay vs Peyton Royce when they were known as Jessie McKay and KC Cassidy. Peyton was the face here and Billie Kay was a heel. Billie threatened a fan in this match. :)

GOAT level character in modern WWE. Consummate entertainer.

Wouldn't be upset if she never wrestled a match again though.

As much as I miss seeing in the ring. I am enjoying what I can get with Billie. I am happy she ended up on Smackdown where they actually develop talent on the main roster out of two brands. Now we are seeing Billie Kay having character development and growth.

I really like her, disappointed they broke up the IIconics, though, they were pretty much the only true women’s tag team left that didn’t consist of two regularly singles competitors tossed together just because. I wish they’d do something much more with her than just have her running around begging to be part of a team. Stupid angle.

split them up just to put Pey with another tag team partner and for Billie to essentially try and join different teams. "Creative" I believe they call it.

Splitting up the IIconics was a bonehead move on their parts. Still eats me to this day. I do wish they would not have her look pathetic by begging to be part the Riott Squad, the same team that did their parts in ending the IIConics era and then suddenly siding with Tamina. Not good booking. Though I give her credit for doing comedy right in those segments. If it was up to me. I would have her be in a authority storyline or have her in singles action.

IIConics were garbage and both would still be a bunch of jobbers regardless of a split or not.

This is a very accurate article by this poster on Reddit. Billie Kay may have not been that good in the ring in the last few years but I feel that she traded in ring skills for character development. Late last year and this year, she came up with a good gimmick that I am surprised that she got over with the internet fans. A resume gimmick. It was getting her over and most of the talent in the back loved it. Thanks to Fightful who brought this out in the open. Billie Kay I loved her since Shimmer and felt she has charisma, plus character. You need those in order to be remembered as a wrestler. Kevin Dunn is an idiot for saying he didn't get her. Maybe if he would have actually watched his own promotion then he would. This proves that most of the creative staff and executives doesn't watch their own show.

This really isn't anything new. WWE doesn't actually care if you can get something over, or bring something positive to the table. At the end of the day, they're gonna use you how, when, where, and why they want to, regardless of any external factors. And, it has to be said, it's well within WWE's right to want total control over their characters and programming. It usually is to the detriment of the product and the ire of the fans... but that's really just how it is.

Sadly, this is the truth. Look at how long it took them to finally push Bryan. Fans had to literally feed it down their throats for months, and even then they still wanted to go with a part-timer like Batista. WWE just doesn't really value people getting over. It's a shame, but it is how it is. I'm sure some other company will appreciate Billie, she has bags of potential and charisma, and they won't hate her for her accent.

Former WWE Superstar Billie Kay will apparently be using “Jessie McKay” on the indies.

Kay filed to trademark the name on April 23. Her real name is Jessica McKay.

The following use descriptions were included with her USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) filing:

“IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Leggings; Shirts; Socks; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts”

“IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes”

Kay recently changed her Twitter handle to @JessicaMcKay.

Kay last wrestled for WWE in the Tag Team Turmoil match on Night One of WrestleMania 37, teaming with Carmella. She signed with the company back in April 2015. You can click here for a recent backstage report on Kevin Dunn and her WWE release, and you can click here for her post-release statement.

Kay will be free to sign with other promotions after her 90-day non-compete clause with WWE expires on Wednesday, July 14.

Stay tuned for more.

Jessie is really getting the ball going early and that is a good thing.
