I honestly never felt that way with Wolf of Wall Street. I mean yeah it's obviously long, but never did it FEEL long for me. At over 3 hours they really did a great job of keeping that movie extremely entertaining continuously over those 3 hours, never a dull moment.

Haven't seen that one, but as far as Phantom of the Opera is concerned I'm a big fan of the 1925 version with Lon Chaney, my favourite silent horror movie. So I recommend that for anyone who hasn't seen it and in interested in silent horror movies and such.

Really? I thought Poltergeist II was a good sequel, flawed but Rev. Henry Kane is one of the creepiest horror movie villains of all time and thought it was very entertaining. But when it comes to Poltergeist I even enjoyed the III for what it was (and what it was was essentially a bad movie, but...

I've heard nothing but that from people who saw it, definitely looking forward to it.

Get outta here with your proving me wrong right off the bat!

That seems to be how it is with American Psycho, you either love it or you hate it. I don't often hear people say "oh it was okay" about that movie.

I'm a big Coen Brothers fan but honestly... Inside Llewyn Davis really didn't do much for me. I didn't dislike it, but it's definitely on the lower half of their filmography for me.

Just watched Fruitvale Station. Wow. Powerful stuff. Michael B. Jordan is incredible and so natural and the whole thing is very realistic. Really kind of makes you feel like you're really seeing how that day played out (no idea how much actually happened and didn't though) which makes it hit...

I definitely want to see it. I watched World's Greatest Dad today and what a great movie. Robin Williams last great role probably, great blend of emotion and comedy. It's dark, real dark especially now, but it's also hilarious and I thought kinda the perfect movie to watch today and I'm glad...

I just watched In the Name of the Father, Daniel Day-Lewis is an alien. He is so good and so transformative in his roles, he really is whoever he is playing and rarely do you ever think of him, just whoever he is playing. Pete Postlethwaite is great too and just a really fantastic film overal...

I haven't seen The Wind Rises yet, only one of the category I haven't seen, but Frozen really didn't do much for me at all. Definitely my least favorite of the nominees.

I watched Ernest & Celestine today, what a fantastic, charming little animated movie that is. Love the animation and a surprising amount of big laughs too. I'd kinda love to see this one pick up the upset over the more well-known movies and win the Oscar.

Just watched The Wolf of Wall Street. Best Scorsese movie since The Departed for sure, liked it a lot. Thought it might be a bit long in the tooth since it clocks in at three hours, but it never feels long, very entertaining throughout.

NCywrFyN_R4 Fuck Sharknados, sharks in the motherfucking snow, that's where it's at! Those of us that live in areas with a lot of snow should be afraid, very afraid! There could be snow sharks anywhere! Everywhere! Get really stoned, watch this movie, and prepare yourselves for the snow...

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the horror movie discussion or here, but I guess I'll stick it here. I just watched Orca and... that shit is like Jaws with killer whales, surprisingly good. I was expecting a fun, cheesy bad movie, but that's actually not what it is. Some very memorable...

Well, that's the next one in the series, so I'll be sure to check it out at some point.

Speaking of James Bond, I've watched both Dr. No and From Russia with Love recently and I gotta say... not a huge fan.
  18. Random Movie Discussion

I came across this recently and was planning to watch it 'cause I love Emily Blunt and I'd also like to see Ron Weasley... not playing Ron Weasley. :tongue1:

Fine. It was terrible. If you watch it it will completely ruin movies for you forever and it might possibly induce liver failure or a brain aneurysm. Better? :shifty:

Starz removed all their content from Netflix, so that's probably why a lot of stuff disappeared. As for Carriers, I thought it was great, very pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly emotionally fucked up and feels very realistic, which is hard to do with many of these types of movies.
