I'd def rank both Us and Get Out over Happy Death Day but Get Out is in another tier easily. Us and Happy Death Day were both fairly enjoyable but still had minor complaints for me. Good for most modern horror standards for sure though

I've seen bits and pieces of mostly all of the Friday the 13ths but I didn't really pay close attention lol I've only sat down and actually watched the very first one. Which was def a fun ride but I think I'd enjoy some others more

Same here, I think that's actually the popular opinion too since it's rated slightly higher on IMDb but that's not always the best site to go off of

Yeah but I'm just judging on how much I enjoy the movies not how much they fit into a genre. I was on the verge of giving Evil Dead II a regular spot on the list where I didn't even consider it for Shaun of the Dead, but I still think Shaun is better

Yeah I think I'm with Deezy here, I rank them both super high and close to each other but I think I enjoy Shaun of the Dead more..ask me again in a week and I'll probs change my mind but who knows

Here's my decade lists, they are NOT in order, they're just the 5 best horror movies of each decade in whatever order but ones in BOLD are ones I consider top tier 1920s: Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu.....Can't think of more from this decade tbh, might add some later. 1930s...

Speaking of M. night...do we consider Sixth Sense a horror movie :hmm: its borderline for me tbh, more of a drama but either way a great fuckin movie

Blair witch doesn't hold up as well without the phenomenon of its release surrounding it, it's kinda boring if you were the watch it now but I can't dispute how revolutionary it was

Actually haven't seen that one so can't offer an opinion

Found footage almost killed the genre lmao but the ones that are good really fuckin rule

It follows the formula for sure but I personally wouldn't consider it a horror film, wouldn't really argue that point too hard though bc shit is subjective, ain't like its black and white

I'll have to see if anything makes my lists tomorrow that I'm forgetting about rn but Alien might be my favorite horror movie of alltime ngl I'm a sucker for sci fi and it combines both genres so well

I remember you saying we could keep doing horror movies and I was all for it lmao I just kept throwing out suggestions and bond stuck, I'd literally watch any movie ever made :lmao
