General Chit-Chat Thread: A New Beginning

Oh yeah I mean that's obvious red flag shit. For me, I don't buy completely into much like I've mentioned before (agnostic in all things being hyperbolic) but I like to hear stuff and take some sprinkles and reflect on them. I feel like most stuff I watch online is objectively positive but you...

dude honestly I think it's a good sign just that you had that want, a lot of people your age (and my age now lol) resist change and evolution like the plague.

Getting some books is also on the docket for me :lol I've gotten more into self-improvement and all that lately as well, but the "dirty" kind (ie internet people) and I need some actual books to really keep me in check

Though the shirt is kinda linked to the painting... it's all a branching artistic endeavor

I picked up gaming/streaming and painting so far in the last few months. My next thing I'm eyeing is designing a shirt.

I count it for myself. I put off playing it for years, just wrote it off and assumed it wasn't for me. I was kinda right about the main game modes (though I like them better than I thought) but I bit the bullet and tried it and now I'm having these new experiences, my first time playing a...

Everybody does gotta find what works for them, that is the most crucial thing. I certainly would consider putting yourself in new or uncertain situations, or trying new activities, or working on a new skill with some semi-regularity to be worth at least trying for anyone who feels down or stuck.

There are levels to it of course but I feel a lot of people could stand to learn how truly capable they are by simply doing the things they're anxious about

I'm sure it's effective for some. I know personally I put off doing a lot of things that are extremely easy, whether because of anxiety or uncertainty or plain laziness... shit that could be accomplished in minutes that instead get drawn out into weeks of constantly reminding myself I need to do...

    BOTS 8 - Round 5 - 1978

In the 80s in general? I mean I don't wanna speak in such broad terms but to me it's the most superficial/synthetic era of music until probably the mid-to-late 2010s up to today. Disco, hair metal and synth pop are all fine but none of them are really my favorite subgenres and as always it...

    BOTS 8 - Round 5 - 1978

If it was like 1976 it probably would have been my favorite :lol My decades preferences, roughly is like 70s > 90s > 2010s > 2000s > 80s with of course some genres being stronger in some eras than others... but being that the general vibe of the 80s appeals to me the least, late 70s clearly...

    BOTS 8 - Round 5 - 1978

I didn't wanna sound like a negative Nancy but I did notice that 1978 wasn't quite as packed with great music as the prior years in the decade imo. This playlist just helped show me how trends that would define the 80s in music were already pretty well formed by this time.

The Smarks Hip Hop Album of the Week Club

I haven't even given feedback on Madvillainy. Of course I'm quite familiar and it's one of the most legendary underground hip hop albums ever, and one of the most legendary MC/producer combos ever. The beats on this project are historic - though maybe not quite as good as MM.. FOOD. Personal...
