  1. Favorite Survivor Series Match

That was Summerslam, not Survivor Series. Sable did defeat Jacqueline at that year's Survivor Series though. For me, you can't get any better than the 1988's tag team elimination match. You had some killer workrate stuff from the Brainbusters and The Rockers, the big angle with the Powers of...
  2. Top 5 Worst Pro Wrestling Stables

Dungeon of Doom definitely deserves a shout out. It's 1995, wrestling is at an all time low, there's a rising movement in Philly for ECW and what does WCW do? They create a stable right out of mid 80's WWF. Talk about clueless about what the wrestling fan wanted in '95. The only decent thing...
  3. PWG: All Star Weekend X (Night 1 Results!)

Re: PWG All Star Weekend 10 lolz, no. It's PWG, they're not going to not book a guy to tell a story. With the shows being just a few days before Christmas, he may have just opted not to go work for PWG in order to spend time with his family.
  4. Is there anymore interest really in Sting coming into WWE?

What horror stories could those three tell Sting? Hogan "Man, that McMahon was such an asshole to deal with. He made me the biggest wrestling star in history and I'm STILL cashing checks from them to this day!" Luger "The WWE was a nightmare. I was only there for a few months before...
  5. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Not too bad of a deal. Beware though, Best of Raw 15th Anniversary can be pretty disappointing. For whatever reason, they greatly edited the Flair/Perfect match, cutting out a good ten minutes of it. That does not include the commercial breaks though. Considering that match was one of the few...
  6. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Eh...it will sell. Personally, I'd be more into just having a fourth regular Shawn Michaels DVD. You can still throw on matches like The Rockers vs Haku/Barbarian and Michaels vs Diesel, but you won't have to waste DVD space on matches like Michaels vs Razor Ramon or Michaels vs Taker for the...
  7. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Are those real options? Man, it's time to stop releasing DVD's when those are the best DVD options they could think of. A breakdown of the different DVD choices: - Santino Marella - Who's going to buy a 3 disc Santino set? If they want to make an one disc Superstar Collection DVD, fine, but a...
  8. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

I'd be all for a second Randy Savage DVD. There's still a load of great Savage matches that weren't included on the first DVD: - Death Match vs Tito Santana - Cage match with Adrian Adonis vs Bruno Sammartino and Tito Santana - Loads of Ricky Steamboat house show matches - Superbrawl VI vs...
  9. WWE.com lists it's best PPV's ever, thoughts?

I'm not going to complain about the order since it's a WWE list. There's always going to be wacky listings. I will say I'm disappointed at the lack of WCW 1992. SuperBrawl II, Wrestle War and Beach Blast was one of the best trio of PPV's ever. I don't think you can find a better three PPV series...
  10. Today in WWE History

Taker was such a huge star back then though. In addition, I believe this was the very first Undertaker return. So it was a pretty huge deal that added some importance on the card. Besides that and the 5 star Owen/Bret, the card also had some quality undercard matches in Diesel vs Razor Ramon...
  11. Wrestling Events/Shows you've been to

WCW Thunder Taping (Ft. Wayne, IND) - Nov 10, 1999 - WCW Thunder (Nov 11, 1999) - Sid Vicious vs Perry Saturn - WCW Thunder (Nov 18, 1999) - Chris Benoit vs Buff Bagwell - Dark Match - Bret Hart vs Lex Luger WWE Monday Night Raw (Ft. Wayne, IND) - Nov 7, 2005 - Dark Match - The Miz and...
  12. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Well, it's not as if they knew what video releases would be like in the future.
  13. PWG: TEN - August 9th

They're not really in a building that's great for such gimmick matches. I imagine most of their time in Reseda, I doubt they even thought they could do a ladder match.
  14. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

I don't know what the deal was. It seemed like all they cared about was capturing the end for the big moment.
  15. PWG: TEN - August 9th

Welcome to PWG, where EWR comes to life. PWG has a couple of matches that get major reactions (Guerrilla Warfare and ladder), so they whore them out every chance they get.
  16. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Doubtful. Ones like AWA and WCCW (Possibly Mid-South too) are better sellers with just one DVD release. It doesn't help matters that AWA didn't record a lot of their full matches either.
  17. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Oh, it's only six dollars? Go for it. I bought it when it first came out for probably a little over twenty dollars and I didn't feel like I wasted my money or anything. I just found a new copy of it on Amazon for $2.13. I win.
  18. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Sorta. The documentary is good. For it's time (Late 2006), it was probably the best WWE documentary for info. They created that awesome map of America/Canada showing the territories and who ran them for that. It has a couple of great matches (Lawler/Von Erich and Rockers/Somers and Rose)...
  19. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

I'll even go as far to say '96 and '97 has really poor booking. You have this really big gimmick match and virtually the only time of the year you know that you won't have to worry about extra nWo members interfering. Yet, you book the matches as just yet another big moment for the nWo. If WCW...
  20. The Official Upcoming Wrestling DVDs Thread!

Even the worse War Games are worth watching just to see how idiotic WCW could be with it's booking of an overly simple gimmick.
