    My only other complaint is there probably isn’t a whole lot of emotional investment in the stories for the matches tonight but it is what it is.

    Still no promos outside of a couple backstage interviews though which is still slightly disappointing, but these matches are killing it.

    What the fuck was that counter? My boy caught him mid dive in a headlock, and then dead lifted him into a power up brain buster on the floor. I think that might’ve just beaten brain burst on the apron from earlier in the night as the craziest spot I’ve seen in a while.

    Him saying he needs neck surgery sooner rather than later, but he’s not gonna go get it yet is a crazy line, but really sets up the story nicely.

    They might want to pump the brakes on pushing Kyle so strong as a singles guy if the plan is to put them back with Mark Davis, which I’m hoping because AEW really does need Aussie open in the Tag Team ranks.

    The way this guy executes pile drivers is kind of funny because the tombstone he did Tom landed almost completely on his back like a power slam more than a pile driver but then, when he did the standard pile driver, he landed on his knees, dropping Tom almost directly on his head lol.

    I will say this one week breather between the all paper views was definitely needed but I think the one month next year is gonna be way better.

    The goat being the champion at last, to end his career when he loses is obviously a great story to move forward but if I was fantasy booking, I probably still would’ve preferred Nigel coming out of retirement to wrestle the goat.
