    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Raw May 27th, 2002 Edmonton, Canada We start with our commentators, JR and The King hyping some of the stuff planned for tonight, which includes Eddie Guerrero defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rob Van Dam in a ladder match, and Brock Lesnar vs. Bubba Ray Dudley. I’m...

WWE Heat May 26th, 2002 Memphis, Tennessee Match One D’Lo Brown vs. Justin Credible They don’t get a hell of a lot of time, but that’s probably a good thing for a match involving Justin Credible. I’ll give these guys credit though, they put in some decent work and ensure Heat begins with a...

WWE Velocity May 25th, 2002 Tupelo, Mississippi First episode of Velocity, which is the Smackdown equivalent to Heat. Only difference being that the wrestling on Heat is mostly consistently average, whereas Velocity has been a place for some hidden gems over the years. Let’s see how it goes...

    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Smackdown May 23rd, 2002 Tupelo, Mississippi The show opens up and before we can get to our opening match, Michael Cole and Tazz tell us all about the fact that Hulk Hogan will be retiring tonight. Match One Lance Storm vs. Triple H A pretty good opener here. A little surprised at how...

    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Raw May 20th, 2002 Memphis, Tennessee The show begins with a video tribute to The British Bulldog. Rest in peace. Rob Van Dam begins making his entrance, ready for action, when he’s attacked from behind by the WWE Undisputed Champion The Undertaker. ‘Taker rams RVD headfirst into the crowd...

If one of my picks don't win, I riot. Will most likely need to check our PM's to remember who I nominated, but believe me, a riot will ensue.

WCW/ECW 2001 and Beyond - The Alliance Lives

Very interesting opening here with Foley seemingly waiting for somebody to arrive. Fonzie’s proposal for a Three Way Dance would be fun, but I get the idea Foley might have something else in mind, or at least an addition to this. Maybe it has to do with who he’s waiting to arrive? Either way, a...

WWE Judgment Day May 19th, 2002 Nashville, Tennessee Match One WWE Intercontinental Championship Match Eddie Guerrero (c) vs. Rob Van Dam This was another great match from these two which shouldn’t be too surprising at this point. Not including the Insurrextion showdown, this is their second...

    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Heat May 19th, 2002 Nashville, Tennessee Being that it’s the night of Judgment Day, this will be mostly a hype show for the PPV, without a lot of new content. We start off with a video package hyping the WWE Undisputed Championship match between Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker. After...

    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Smackdown May 16th, 2002 Montreal, Canada Of all the things they decide to spend the most time hyping at the beginning of the show, it’s the fact that Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson will be doing battle in a swimsuit contest. Okay. We start things off properly with some Triple H in ring...

    Stojy watches WWE 2002

WWE Raw May 13th, 2002 Toronto, Canada Match One Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs. The Hardy Boyz This was pretty fun to watch without being outstanding. Brock throws them around and dominates, further putting him over, and of course, The Hardyz bump like crazy people. Eventually, The Hardyz turn...

Yep, pretty much. I guess it didn't do any real damage in the long term, but didn't make a whole heap of sense. You have a guy fighting like crazy to earn a title shot at a PPV, then you have virtual nobody's getting title shots every week anyway.

    AEW: For The Brand

AEW roster is definitely bloated so I think the split is a good idea. Looking forward to seeing how you establish both shows as different entities, with different traditions and what not, so it still doesn't feel like the same product with different wrestlers. Wishing you the best of luck with this.

    The Star-Maker Podcast

A cool concept here mate for sure. Something new and exciting. The retelling of history angle is a good one, and with things like Brock returning in 2005, and a potential Shelton Benjamin world title run in his prime, you definitely have my attention. Looking forward to this, and wishing you...

    Total Nonstop Action by Stojy

NWA-TNA May 7th, 2003 Nashville, Tennessee The show opens up as expected, with The Asylum at full capacity. The noise is UNBELIEVABLE, the crowd clearly pumped for a big show. As the “TNA” chants from the fans die down, MIKE TENAY AND DON WEST are ready to welcome us to the show and run down...

WWE ~ Where It All Begins Again ~ RAW 4/19/04 ~

Evolution opening promo was solid as a starting point for the show. The “take a look at greatness” being the first line for Triple H is interesting, since Orton used that line during his 2008-2009 WWE title reigns. No idea if that was intentional, but just stood out to me for some reason. All of...

    ~BTB OF THE MONTH~ WCW 1995: Let's start a war! Nitro November 6th 1995 is now live

Opening the show with the Battle Royal to crown a new US Title challenger sounds like fun. Some nice spots throughout, including some Meng dominance, and the Dungeon of Doom implosion, but the real story here was obviously Flair and Anderson working together until they were the final two. Love...

ECW Hardcore Heaven May 13th, 2001 Milwaukee, Wisconsin The Rave This is ECW, do we ever open up a pay per view in a standard fashion? Not likely. Instead, we open up the show with The Rave jam packed, a couple of hundred people crammed into the small venue, however the people aren’t happy...
