I don't care if she was born with balls or ovaries....she's on Nia Jax level of drizzling shits.

Yeah, I don't care about her being trans, good for her tbh. I just don't like her as a talent.

At least Nyla being champ means whoever is beating her isn't gonna be Britt Baker, cos they prob won't go with a heel beating Nyla lol.

Britt Baker sucks assholes.

I agree with Hoss in his build up story, they definitely have something to work with. Just personally, I would have liked to see her do more in the last few months. I certainly don't dislike her, I just feel she hasn't done a whole lot. She was gone for a while, randomly came back, had some squash matches......I get the monster persona they want, and, it definitely works for her, I guess I am just being picky and wanted more matches to 'show her off', if that's the right way to put it. The division blows ass, too, not much to work with in general.

This is true. Nyla wouldn't be my first pick out of all women to be leading the division but in AEW? Who else are you going to go with?

I really like Hikaru Shida, Bea Priestly and sorta Kris Statlander, but does anyone have suggestions on how to actually book them? How would making any of them champion now spur more interest than Riho as champion? They need to do something that will actually give the division a sense of direction and I think a dominant Nyla is the best option, given who we have at our disposal.

And I think this is the exact sentiment of most rational people. If Mark Callaway's wrestling "character" as a dead man can be accepted by the audience then I really don't think its too much of a stretch for Nyla's wrestling "character" to be accepted as a woman no matter what she was born as.

I think where we are running into problems is that people are being told that they cannot dislike Nyla's wrestling character without being branded as a transphobe thanks to the current political climate. We can dislike her for completely legitimate wrestling reasons, lack of heat, lack of a character, poor wrestling ability, her only "gimmick" seems to be constantly licking her wrist however none of those are accepted as viable reasons for disliking her, its automatically because we must be transphobes. In fact I believe it was one of the LGBTQ groups which released the following statement:

We are disgusted to see the transphobic and hateful comments towards @NylaRoseBeast. No, she is not a man winning a women’s title. She is a trans woman. If you don’t know what that means, learn with an open heart. If you’re unwilling to, then shut up.

Telling someone that disagrees with them to "shut up" is not a very mature way to deal with the situation and quite frankly that prevailing attitude is the reason why this country is in the shape that it is. I think people are sick of being attacked and labeled for every opinion they have and this is why you are seeing people troll and backlash against this online.

But that statement was clearly talking about the "transphobic and hateful comments" not any comment that disliked Nyla winning the belt. If your comment is not transphobic or hateful which none have been in this thread that I've seen yet despite no one having a positive opinion on her....then they weren't talking to you so idk why you'd think they were.

I'm just saying that your statement you used as an example of the Internet telling you you're not allowed to dislike her never says that, it just says not to be transphobic.

For what it's worth, I do agree with the first part of your original post a ton, and I know there's a ton of dumb people that do feel like if you dislike Nyla for her wrestling ability then you're automatically transphobic. I just didn't think you found a good example, and if that one tweet offended you then idk bro I feel like you were just looking to be upset at da libs

Bitch loses credibility by trying to bait people into discussing gender with her recent tweets.

It's sad that us who don't like Nyla's character or wrestling ability have to preface our posts by saying it has nothing to do with her being trans, cos a lot of people will automatically assume you don't like her cos of that. You can't win lol.

As for the other ladies in AEW, I like Kris Statlander but I need to know more about her, the alien thing is weird and I need more info lmao :lol

They have a roster full of green women, besides the Joshi women the talent are way too inexperienced.. Nyla is not ready to lead the division and neither are Britt Baker or Kris Statlander..

They need a woman who can take control of the women's division like a Tessa Blanchard or Sasha Banks.

Nyla being champion is the right call for now. She is average in the ring but it gives them a nice easy story to get the division back on track

Things have come together for the women's division really well in the past weeks. Britt's promos have been really good aside from that awkward one on the boat. Nyla is still quite green, but she look great when paired with the right opponent. I think it's just a matter of putting experienced girls with her like Riho, Shida and Shanna. She's a good choice to have as Champ to as she's the one dominant heel in a division mostly stacked with babyfaces, so she'll have lots of good match-ups. Cool to see Yuka Sakazaki back too. I think she's a good deal better than Riho and given how well Riho's gotten over, I'm hoping Yuka will do likewise.
