I was kind of talking out loud with that statement. So he probably hid behind dods is what I was getting at. So it was a two for one role.

Why would Phen0m tie himself to info Barry had on Doddsy? The second phen0m tied himself to Doddsy this game pretty much ended for both of them with that info and the cop shot they were never gonna last long.

Phen0m had already claimed mason but why tie himself to Doddsy? Why not change up the plan and have someone else on the scum team be your mason partner?

The main reason I can think of is that everyone on the scum team has already committed to a claim so it had to be Doddsy.

Which would mean our remaining scum have already claimed.

Just a thought
