I get that they somehow wanted to save face for both guys but that was just all kinds of fucked up beyond belief and sucked the air all the way out of that match. Shame because the match actually fairly enjoyable then they had to do some WCW shit.

Ending was Taker being so desperate to show himself he's still got it that he had to cheat to do it.

It's like when Batman got old and he had to use a gun to save his ass when his Kung fu couldn't help.

Also sets up an out for both parties and a way to sell the next bout if they go that way.
