What blueberry thought that Taker and the Dudleys should close the show. ...no wonder Heyman was taken off creative for a while.

I thought the bullshit gimmick and the cement stuff having to be filmed at an earlier time was why it went on last. Like I think the live audience didn't even see Bearer or something IDR exactly but it was a mess.

Also they really killed off Paul Bearer three different times and then only had one memorial show for his actual death :hm:

WWE Women's Champion: Trish Stratus

WWE Monday Night RAW
June 28th, 2004
Richmond, Virginia

Recap of last weeks main event fuckery.

Tonight: KANE/Benoit & JR interviews Kane in the ring.

Evolution makes their way down to the ring, Orton debuts his Randy Orton Legend Killer t-shirt which is a knockoff of the parental guidance logo. Hunter says he was on the phone with Uncle Eric over the weekend, and he confirmed he still gets the shot at Vengeance. He says he's out here to talk about Eugene, but he wants to tell him face to face. Eugene comes out, he has he Blue warry facial expression as Hunter tells him everything is okay, and not to be scared. He says he understands things got heated last week, but it was tough love. He says he's trying to prepare him to face all the mean guys in the back that want to hurt him. He says if he really wanted to, he would hurt him but he will never hurt him, they're friends, unlike Benoit who hit him with a chair. Hunter says he promises to always tell him the truth, and the truth is Benoit lied when he told him it was an accident. He says Benoit is jealous of him and hates him. Hunter says that makes him angry, and he doesn't like using this language but Benoit is nothing but a..............BIG JERK! :lmao I said the J word, that's right, cause he makes me mad :lmao GOD is the best. He says Eugene doesn't need Benoit, cause he has Evolution now. Batista and Flair clap as Orton has this puzzled look on his face. Hunter says TONIGHT! he wants to make Eugene an honorary member of Evolution. Eugene hugs Flair, Batista, and Orton who are not thrilled by this. Regal comes out and yells it's a trap, he says he cannot trust Triple H. But, Hunter says Regal was never his friend, the truth is Regal was hired by his Uncle to pretend to be his friend just so he can get his job back. HOLY SHIT! Regal has this amazing, Angry/Guilty facial expression. Hunter tells Regal to look Eugene in the eyes and tell him in the truth, Regal tries to talk but Hunter cuts him off and says REGAL DISGUSTS HIM! AND NOTHING MAKES HIM MORE SICK THAN A MAN PRETENDING TO BE EUGENE'S FRIEND JUST TO GET WHAT HE WANTED! :lmaolmao I low key take some of this hate back, Triple H is making this angle amazing. Hunter says Eugene has to make a choice now, go with Regal a man who lied to him from the start or stay with Evolution. Eric Bischoff comes out and makes Triple H vs. Regal, with Eugene as the ref. King questions if Eugene can even count to 3.

Randy Orton & Batista vs. Chris Jericho & Edge
FUCK YEAH REMATCH! JR claims Jericho suffered a concussion after Batista's LARIAT last week. AWESOME hate by Jericho as he goes right to fighting Batista, but it backfires after one back elbow by Batista cutting him off. Evolution iso Jericho for a bit, it's fine but I wish they would have focused on working the head more instead of just wearing him down. Jericho does a great job selling the head, with any little strike to it. E.G. During a side slam, not only does your back hit the mat but the back of the head so he grabs it. And when he gets thrown to the floor too, good shit on his end. They eventually focus on it but it's too little too late, as Edge gets the hot tag. He and Orton again, have a fun pairing segment. Orton leapfrogs the spear but Edge, blocks goes into the turnbuckles. He then goes to apply the Edgecator but Batista boots him in the head to stop it. The two Canadians clean house as Jericho hits a sweet crossbody to Batista on the floor as we go to a commercial. When we return, the faces are in control until Orton hotshots Edge onto the top turnbuckle giving his team control back. Just like the Jericho iso, they don't work a body part just wear Edge down with holds and moves. Jericho's hot tag ruled as he and Batista show off this awesome chemistry they have, Jericho selling the head the whole hot tag too :mark: The match breaks down, with Jericho shoving off Orton's RKO attempt, and Batista accidentally KILLING Orton with a LARIAT! Edge then hits Batista with a spear, allowing Jericho to hit the Lionsault for the win. ***

Recap of Lita/KANE/Matt Love-Triangle.

Backstage: Ric Flair says he never usually questions Triple H cause he's the greatest wrestler alive, but BY-GAWD Eugene in Evolution WOULD KILL ARE GIMMICK, BROTHER! Hunter says he made a deal with Eric. He says he's just leaving up to his deal. Ric asks why not just strangle him now :lmao Hunter says if anyone would get it, it's him. Hunter says he's gonna use Eugene to get back the 1 thing he cares about most in this world the world title. And when that's done, Eugene would have outlived his usefulness, and he'll be gone.

RAW DIVA SEARCH! NEW YORK!

Backstage: Lita is crying on the phone, she's trying to call Matt but can only get the answer phone. Stacy comes in as Lita calls herself a horrible person. She says she just thought she was doing the right thing. Lita says she loves Matt and she's so stupid. Stacy asks what is she gonna do and Lita doesn't know.

Cops are surrounding the ring, as JR comes down to the ring, followed by Kane. Kane says if he wanted to do something to him, no one can stop him. JR asks him why did he brutalize Shawn Michaels? Kane says it was simple, he was robbed at Bad Blood and that made him angry. Shawn was in his way, so he needed to suffer. JR asks why is he doing this to Lita? Kane says their's one thing he's always craved but could never have, that's a normal life. He says he knows he can't have that, but he can have a SON or Daughter. Someone he can mold and continue his legacy. So, he made an arrangement with Lita. Now he can get everything he wanted. First, beat Benoit and become WORLD CHAMPION! then in 8 months become a father. JR says it's a 50% chance the kid is Matt's. KANE gets pissed, but MATT runs through the crowd and attacks KANE as the cops just watch on :lmao Eric has to come out and order the cops to break it up. He orders the cops to take Matt out of the building so he can't ruin his main event. Bischoff apologizes and says that since Benoit interfered in his business, he has a change to their match. In Benoit vs. Kane, Chris Benoit can ONLY win by submission, so if he wants to retain, he has to finally make Kane tap out. And Kane can win the title by pin, submission, DQ, or countout.

William Regal vs. Triple H (w/Ric Flair) [Special Referee: Eugene]
So this is fun time when the focus is on Hunter/Regal wrestling and dips when it becomes the Eugene shit show. Only good part of that is Triple H always throwing the first dirty strike, but Eugene doesn't catch it he only catches Regal giving the receipt. Hunter also is doing his best Flair like bumping tonight, Flair throws the brass knuckles in but Regal stops it and puts them on but Eugene catches him. He thinks he used them so he DQ's Regal. After the match; Hunter shoves Regal into Eugene who does his RETARDAMANIA HULK UP! he attacks Regal from behind but Hunter and Flair pull him off and calm him down. **1/4

La Resistance comes out and sings the Canadian National Anthem in French, but Rhyno and Sgt. Slaughter interrupts. WAT!

La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Sgt. Slaughter
So this isn't good like at all, the Resistance spends the majority of the match working on Rhyno's neck who sells it by not selling it. Sarge's hot tag is OLD man stuff 101, he locks in the cobra clutch but it gets broken up. They hit Sarge with Au Revoir for the win.

Backstage: Triple H talks to Eugene, he says it's okay to get angry sometimes, he lists off what Kane, Benoit, and Regal have all done to him. He tells Eugene that no one will hurt him ever again, as he has Evolution now, and they are all his friends.

RAW DIVA SEARCH! Some of these broads are terrible to look at. HOLY SHIT!

Backstage: Coachman, Ric, and Eric are talking. Eric says he taking a vacation for a week, Coach thinks he'll be interim GM but Eric says a change of plans and Eugene will be in charge next week.

SMACKDOWN REBOUND! GAB Fuckery.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Kane vs. Chris Benoit (Chris Benoit can ONLY win by submission, but Kane can win the title by pin, submission, DQ, or count out)
This starts off tremendous, with Benoit attacking Kane's legs as that's what worked at the PPV and usually works when breaking a giant down, but Kane doesn't sell cause "Monster" Benoit keeps going to either the Crossface or the Sharpshooter but Kane powers out each time. They fight onto the floor, with Kane throwing Benoit into the ring post like a lawn dart. Kane goes for the easy countout, but Benoit rolls back in at 9. Benoit forgets the rules as he asks the ref to count KANE out after sending him into the steps, but the ref tells him the rules again lol. When we return from the break, Kane is back in control he works over Benoit's head and neck. he goes for the chokeslam but Benoit counters into a Crossface attempt but again Kane powers out and into a sidewalk slam. He signals for the end and the Tombstone but Benoit slides out and hits the triple rolling German's and connects with the Headbutt. Again, Benoit goes for the cover but no count. Kane sits up and goes for a chokeslam, but Benoit drops Kane's arm over the top rope and begins targetting it. He hits another German just to get Kane onto the mat and applies the Crossface. Kane tries to roll through but ends up on his back with Benoit still having it locked in, kinda. But Kane taps.**3/4

Kane attacks Benoit from behind, but Lita comes out smiling. She points at him and says me and you. She hands him the title and raises his hand, but KICKS HIM IN DA DICK! She goes to hit him with the title but he grabs her throat. He lifts her up for the chokeslam but puts her down, cause HE REMEMBERED HIS BASTARD BABY! He tells her never to do that again and that's HIS BABY! He turns around and walks into Benoit nailing him in the head with the title belt.

WWE Champion: John Bradshaw Layfield
WWE United States Champion: John Cena
WWE Tag Team Champions: The Dudley Boyz
WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Mysterio

WWE Smackdown
July 1st, 2004
Fayetteville, North Carolina

In the back, Kurt is in his office, he welcomes us to the show and goes over what happened in the Texas Bullrope match. He says he's proud of himself for doing the right thing and allowing justice to win. Kurt says he doesn't hold a grudge against Eddie and hopes Eddie doesn't hold one against him. Kurt says theirs a new WWE CHAMPION! And introduces him now.

NEW WWE CHAMPION! JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD comes out in a limo, he's got flags and other confetti stuff draped over the limo. JBL comes out the limo shaking hands, holding the title but also supporting a nasty cut on his head, not Eddie level but still looks brutal. The ring is also set up with red, white and blue bunting and a "CONGRATULATIONS JBL" banner on the apron. JBL says as our late great former President Ronald Reagan once said, IT'S MORNING AGAIN IN AMERICA! it's the Dawning of a new era, THE JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD ERA! He says he will become the most popular WWE champion of all time, he knows the USA loves a winner and he will give them that love back. He says he will shake the hands and kiss the babies, but with sanitary, the last thing you want is your champion getting sick :lmao don't be offended because it's not personal, it's just personal hygiene. JBL says he prefers Mr. Bradshaw, but you can call him Champion or Champ. He says he's proud to be their champion and tries to get a JBL chant, but it turns into a mix of Eddie and JBL Sucks chant. JBL says he went into Kurt's office and offered to defend his title tonight. He says he won't rest on his laurels and wants to defend the title tonight in...JBL GOES AND ASKS THE TIMEKEEPER WHERE THEY ARE (and he tells him, which is one of the greatest heel moves ever imo) JBL says Kurt allowed him to pick anyone on the roster to defend his title against, as long as it isn't Eddie. JBL claims Eddie has fallen off the wagon cause he has yet to come out and shake his hand. He says Eddie is probably at the bottom of some pills or knee deep in vodka right now. He says it pains him that they had a WWE Champion to be ashamed of like Eddie Guerrero, but the dark days are over, and JBL promises his fellow Americans that he's a champion they can all be proud of.

Tonight: #1 Contenders match for the US title RVD/Booker/Rene & Footage of Taker murdering Paul Bearer.

#1 Contenders match for the US Championship: Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree (w/FiFi) vs. Booker T
This is pretty whatever, typical pre-unbreakable 3-way. 2 in and one on the floor chillin for long periods of time off simple shit, like Rene selling on the floor for 3 minutes off a backdrop or Booker just watching on after being clotheslined out. Rene and Booker team up for a bit, but Booker accidentally kicks Rene to break up that team. This is way too much RVD like it's basically a handicap match with RVD just fighting both men, It's not like I'm desperate to see Booker/Rene but still, was too much RVD, his kicks look god awful and look like it's barely even touching guys. Booker and Rene again team up, and again it falls apart once one guy goes for a pin. Booker steals RVD's pin after the Frog Splash on Rene to win. I should point out at one point Booker busts out the Spin-a-rooni, so I guess he's no longer a heel. IDK! *3/4

Backstage: Luther Reigns is with ref Charles Robinson, he shows him the footage of his fuck up, Luther says Kurt has no love for Torrie but demands perfection, and won't tolerate mistakes. Luther says tonight it will be the rematch, and if he screws this up the consequences will be severe.

Backstage: Rey, Booker, Holly, The Dudleyz, and Cena are all in the men's locker room, Booker and Cena start shit talking with The Dudleyz cheering on Cena. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!? JBL comes in and says America is the land of opportunities and wants to give someone who was at the Great American Bash a title match. Booker? Rey? Hardcore? Cena, WORD DOGG? Or a Dudley? JBL says he made up his mind...........A DUDLEY. Tonight JBL vs. A DUDLEY.............................SPIKE DUDLEY.

Next Week: Cena/Booker - US TITLE.

Rey Mysterio vs. Mordecai
So, this is complete garbage, Mordicai doesn't look natural at all like he's telegraphing all his spots and counters before he even needs to it makes shit look predictable. Rey does a phenomenal job really bumping for him, but Mordecai is still just god awful, he works Rey's neck and spine, it's Rey so he sells during the work then just forgets and doesn't ever go back to selling the rest of the match. Anyway, the match ends when Rey countered the Crucifix bomb into a 'Rana for the win. *1/2

AND THAT'S ALL FOLKS, THIS IS MORDECAI'S LAST MATCH EVER UNTIL 2006 BUT THIS GIMMICK IS DEAD! His record is 2-1-0 on TV AND PPV LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! May 16, 2004 - July 1, 2004 RIP! PAISE THE HIGHER POWER!

Cole and Taz, talk about how Paul Bearer isn't dead, he just suffered lung damage and some minor injuries.

Paul Heyman comes out, Heyman calls himself the single most powerbroker in the WWE. He goes over how he made Taker try to kill Paul because of his human emotions. Heyman says nothing is stopping Taker, he says Taker has no moral restraints stopping him from a reign of terror never before seen, and he says Taker owes him a debt of gratitude for showing him the way. The lights go out and lightning bolts hit all four ring posts, Taker appears on the tron. He says Heyman showed him that he had a weakness in Paul Bearer, and he had to get rid of him. But if he would do that to the one living soul he cared about, imagine what he's going to do to him. PAUL HEYMAN! REST...IN...PEACE!

Sable vs. Torrie Wilson
Torrie has better intensity and hatred than Mordecai :lmao, this still isn't good but god bless Torrie for trying, she ends up winning with a DDT.

Torrie and Sable leave the ring, as Charlies Robinson remains in the ring. GM Kurt appears on the tron, Kurt says he can't overlook what happened at the PPV and he needs to be taught a lesson. So tonight it will be CHARLIES VS. LUTHER! LOOOOOOL

Charlies Robinson vs. Luther Reigns
Haas runs down like after 20 seconds to save Robinson, so yeah, no match.

RAW REBOUND!

Backstage: Spike is getting ready for his match when Bubba and D-Von come over. They question what Spike did to get this title match, they say they've never gotten a title match. Didn't Bubba get a title match against Hunter in 2002? or am I bugging? Anyway, they say they have his back and Spike will look good with gold. Only if they get the first title matches. Spike refuses their help and says he wants to go solo.

Kenzo Suzuki and Hiroko come down to the ring, Kenzo starts cutting a promo in Japanese until John Cena comes. He says he knows Kenzo is mad about something, but nobody knows what because he doesn't have subtitles. He says the people know basic Japanese like sushi, sake, Godzilla, and the secret of the happy ending. Cena claims he's fluent in Japanese and translates the promo. He does the Cena jokes about being constipated, pooping and claims Hiroko's white face paint is a play off the movie white chicks. BUT FUCK ALL THAT! CENA SAYS "SHE GETS HER FACE PAINTED WHITE EVERY NIGHT," :lmao He says that since he just taught everyone Japanese, he'll teach him some English: YOU CAN'T SEE ME! Cena leaves and Kenzo is upset when Hiroko tells him what Cena said.

Backstage: JBL is shaking hands with employees when he sees a low rider. A stagehand says that's Eddie's car as JBL walks off smiling.

WWE Championship: Spike Dudley vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
Real fun extended JBL squash, Spike doesn't take brutal bumps like the 90's which i don't think he capable of anymore, he just gets beat up. JBL looks great at just being a brawling bully. He toys with Spike too long which allows Spike to get a mini-comeback and hits the Dudley Dogg which gets a nice close 2 count but a spinebuster puts an end to all of that. JBL hits two stiff sick looking Clotheslines From Hell, and then a Powerbomb to retain.

ShH9zHC.gif

Eddie comes out onto the stage, like as soon as the bell rings. Eddie has this cold look on his face, he runs down to the ring and low blows JBL. He hits a DDT and heads up top, but JBL grabs HIS WWE title and bails up the ramp. Eddie then grabs the mic, and says when he won the title before Kurt was even the GM he added a rematch clause in his contract, but not only that in the contract it says HE gets to name the stipulation/match type. WWE Monday Night RAW
July 5th, 2004
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Tomko, The King, Coachman, Tajiri, Stacy, Flair, and Chris Jericho are in the ring, in the ring chairs are set up. When interim GM Eugene comes out, he says he wants everyone to have fun tonight. And says he has everyone in the ring, with the winner having an opportunity at a title match tonight. The winner will be decided in a game of musical chairs.

All the wrestlers don't want to participate at first, so Stacy starts. and kind follows behind her. The music stops. EVERYONE Pauses... then rushes to a seat. Tajiri trips over Coach's leg and he's out. He then sprays the green mist in Coach's eyes before leaving. The music starts up again, when it stops everyone sits but Coach is blind and sits on the mat instead of a chair :lmao FUCK YEAH! FLAIR IS INTO IT NOW AS HE'S TAKEN OFF HIS RING JACKET! The music plays again, and when it stops King sits on Stacy's lap but then puts her on top. So, he's out. FLAIR IS NOW LIT! HE'S STRUT WALKING AROUND THE CHAIRS! The music stops and he shoves Stacy to the mat to get his seat :mark: FLAIR no struts. but he struts too far from the chairs and misses the chair. We're down to Tomko and Jericho. They go round-and-round. The music stops and Jericho pulls the chair away from Tomko, he hits him in the ribs with it and sits in it. SO JERICHO WINS! Huge pop.

Eugene makes Jericho/Orton for the IC title.

WWE World Tag Team Championships: La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Val Venis
How the fuck did Rhyno get a title match? he lost last week with SGT? and Val hasn't been on RAW since getting murked by KANE. And god knows when he last won an important match? The champs work over Rhyno's neck, it's pretty basic and boring, Val has a solid hot tag, the match breaks down with the Resistance hitting Au Revoir for the win.

Backstage: Flair, Orton, and Batista are talking, Orton says this isn't right, not Only is Eugene now in Evolution, but he has to defend his title tonight against Jericho, on top of that in a few days he again has to put the title on the line against Edge. Flair says he's a 16 TIME WORLD CHAMP AND HAD TO PLAY MUSICAL CHAIRS! Batista cools them down, but they notice Eugene's office, which is just a big bounce house. Eugene asks if they want to bounce. Orton says no, Eugene makes Batista vs. KANE tonight. And Flair/Eugene vs. La Resistance for the title at the PPV. Flair loses his shit, so Batista and Orton have to hold him back.

Triple H comes down to the ring, he says his definition of a miracle, is Benoit's reign as world champion. He says this Sunday, he gonna personally answer the question. GOD OR EVOLUTION! You cannot stop Evolution, and there is nothing anyone can do. Edge comes out, he says for the last year he's sat at home and watched Evolution dominate RAW. And since he's come back, not a lot has changed. But it's time for a change. He tells Hunter to tell Orton, win or lose tonight he's his. And to tell the rest of Evolution...YOU'RE ALL GOING DOWN! 1 by 1 you're all gonna fall, he says he's taking a stand against them. Hunter backs up laughing and takes off his jacket, he says that's great, but he's heard that same speech a million times from guys like Foley, Rock, Austin, Michaels, yet here he stands, nothing changes. He asks Edge what makes him any difference, so Edge cheaps shots him. They have this cool little brawl until Batista and Flair and Orton who runs into an Edge right hand run out for the save but Edge bails into the crowd.

Kane vs. Batista
This goes about 2 minutes or so before Matt runs out for the DQ. He rams Kane's head into the steps 3-4 times until refs drag Matt off and to the back.

Backstage: Todd Grisham interviews Matt about his NoDQ match at the PPV, Matt says that was nothing compared to what he's gonna do to him this Sunday. Todd asks about Lita, so Matt says he's not answering any questions regarding Lita. Todd then asks who's baby is it:lmao Matt stares him down before leaving.

RAW DIVA SEARCH CALI :mark: JOY SIGHTING! That's my baby. Amy too, and some of these extra's :homer: Young Christy looks great too.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho
So this is great, like Jericho who's been on every time he's in the ring against someone of Evolution is extra on tonight, which this being his hometown too. He's busting out the amazing chain wrestling along with cocky heel Jericho stuff too, all looks great until he springboards into an Orton dropkick. Orton briefly works the neck, but it's half-assed which gives Jericho the opening to make a comeback. He hits his running enzuigiri but Orton rolls to the ropes and does put his foot on it for a two count. Jericho continues to dominate with Orton bumping his ass off for everything, Batista comes down as we go to a commercial. When we return, Jericho is still in control but when he runs the rops Batista pulls down the top rope sending Jericho to the floor, he throws Jericho arm first into the ring post behind the refs back. Orton's arm work is great, he applies some nasty stretches and arm holds. Even using the ring ropes as a weapon, Jericho's selling is on point too. He would occasionally no sell the arm, but I think it's was just the crowd was so behind him that he would forget. But he would go back to selling. OH SHIT! They do the Edge/Orton awesome forearm fight, before making his comeback, they go back and forth now trading big moves and near falls. Batista tries to interfere but gets dropkicked off the apron, Orton then goes for the RKO but that gets countered into the Walls of Jericho. Batista is back up, so Jericho breaks the hold and knocks Batista off the apron again allowing Orton to roll him up putting his feet on the ropes too for the win. Great match. I just looked online and with the commercial, this was 18 minutes. FUCK YEAH! So I'm guessing 12-14 minutes were shown, ***1/4

Backstage: Triple H is now bouncing with Eugene on the bounce house. Triple H asks if they have a deal, Eugene says yes as Triple H bounces and falls out of the house. Flair picks him up and asks if he got him out of his match Sunday. Triple H says it didn't come up in the 25 minutes they were bouncing. Flair gets MAD and says they can lose. Or worse win and be champs :lmao Hunter says the plan for Eugene to help him get his title back tonight. Hunter says he got Eugene to make the match, Eugene, Hunter, Flair vs. Benoit/Edge. He tells Ric to trust him.

SMACKDOWN REBOUND!

Trish joins commentary, she has a brace around her wrist. She says it's crushed.

WWE Women's Championship #1 Contendership Contract On A Pole Match: Victoria vs. Molly Holly vs. Nida
The winner of the match gets a title match whenever the champ is ready. This is like 3 minutes, it's whatever. Molly is great again, Victoria is still rushing stuff and Nida is green. But she wins cause LOL. Trish then leaves commentary and goes down to the ring with Tomko. She says Nida has the golden opportunity to face her. In the future. She then clocks Nadia in the head with the cast and says she's ready.

WWE Woman's Championship Match: Trish Stratus vs. Nida
Trish covers and wins.

RAW DIVAS' SEARCH CALI PART II JOY <3

Vengeance HYPE
Orton/Edge
Batista/Jericho
Flair/Eugene vs. La Resistance
Matt/Kane ~ NoDQ
Benoit/Huner

Backstage: Trish and Tomko are laughing about what they did to Nida when they bump into Lita, Trish makes some pregnant jokes, BEFORE SAYING TO THING THEY CALL ME A SLUT!

Backstage: Triple H is hyping up Eugene, Hunter says Edge said he wanted to take down Evolution, well that means you. Cause you're a part of Evolution. FUCK YEAH! TripsSlimeBallGOD! He says Edge wants to hurt him because he's jealous of him, he brings up Benoit hitting him with a chair again. He tells Eugene to stay angry. He says Edge and Benoit represent everyone that ever picked on him, hurt him or laughed at him (Eugene has this hilarious Blue facial expression selling his now found anger) Eugene calls them best friends and hugs him as Hunter pats him on the head like a dog :lmao

Evolution (Triple H, Ric Flair & Eugene) vs. Edge & Chris Benoit
This is cool, it's obviously the weakest Evolution tag so far, mostly cause it's filled with Eugene fuckshit. Hunter and Flair keep forcing him to do heel things, which takes him a while but in the end ends up doing. They iso Benoit, it's cool, Hunter/Benoit clearly hold bad as they have a PPV in a few days, and we don't get much Benoit/Flair violence :( Edge has a cool hot tag, he cleans house on Flair and Hunter as Eugene just watches on the apron. He hits Flair with a spear and goes to hit Hunter but he ducks and Eugene gets hit instead. RETARDAMANIA! happens and he attacks Edge, he beats him down until Hunter pulls him off and that gives them the control back. Again it's most Hunter and Flair doing the work, they work over Edge's arm every now and again Eugene gets in but he shit and refuses to do so. SO WE GET THE FIRST OPENLY "EUGENE SUCKS" CHANT! :mark: Benoit has a cool hot tag, he hits the Triple Rollin' German's on Hunter, and connects with the Diving Headbutt. The match breaks down and Edge goes to spear Flair on the floor but he ducks and Edge goes into the crowd. Hunter then shoves Benoit into the ref, who bumps Eugene off the apron. Hunter grabs the chair, but Benoit takes it away. Eugene then takes it away from him and leaves the ring. Benoit locks Hunter into the Sharpshooter and FUCKING HUNTER INSTEAD OF SELLING YELLS AT EUGENE TO HIT HIM WITH THE CHAIR! Eugene ends up doing it and Hunter hits the pedigree for the win. Way to shit on the Sharpshooter. **1/4

WWE Smackdown
July 8th, 2004
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Tonight: Cena/Booker - US TITLE & Dudleyz/London&Kidman - TAG TITLES

Rene Dupree and FiFi join commentary.

"The reflection of perfection" Mark Jindrak vs. Rob Van Dam
HOLY SHIT! Jindrak is still a thing, and Cole says Teddy and Mark have agreed to part ways, mutually :lmaolmao Mark pearl harbors RVD as he enters the ring, and goes right to work attacking his back. He's really great, at being aggressive its shades of young Orton, like early 2003, late 2002 stuff. RVD selling his back HOLY SHIT! but he does his version of selling too, which is a lot of yelling owe. Rene shitting on both Cole and Taz was great, he makes a nice comeback and hits the Split Legged Moonsault to win. **1/2

Recap of JBL/Spike, and Eddie announcing his rematch in a steel cage.

Backstage: Josh Mathews interviews JBL, Josh asks him on his thoughts on facing Eddie next week. JBL asks if Eddie has ever offered to shake his hand like he does? has Eddie ever come to Canada to wrestle? NO! Eddie has never wrestled all over the globe for his fans. He says he is a man's, man. A champion, of champions. He says he doesn't deserve to defend his title in a barbaric match like a steel cage, but the one thing that will help is his big heart and growing JBL fan club. YOU CAN HEAR THEM! JBL tries to start a "JBL" chant but it's just BOOOOOO's :lmao He says he'll be in action tonight too, and brings on El Gran Luchadore. He says they met before, but now it's EL Champion vs. EL Champion, and he promises to pay for all of EGL's medical bills. Because like next week, the outcome is never in doubt.

On Velocity last week, London/Kidman had a match won against the champs, but Bubba got them DQ'ed and beat the shit out of them post-match.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Dudley Boyz vs. Billy Kidman & Paul London
This starts off great with all 4 in the ring, the challengers get the better using speed and double teams. London has some great looking punches to D-Von's head, but behind the refs back Bubba pulls the top rope down and London takes a great bump to the floor. The Dudleyz iso London, they target London's knee, which has a knee brace on it. Bubba plays the prick so well like he's such an arrogant, loud piece of shit, it really covers the flaws he now has in the ring. For some reason, they randomly stop working the knee and just beat him up, like they go from working the neck, back, chest all in like 3 minutes, before London fights back and Kidman gets the hot tag, it's pretty weak but I wouldn't expect anything less from him. The match breaks down, and London is just taking a beating, his bumping is making me enjoy this way more than I should. The faces reverse WAAAZZZZ UP! into one of their own, London hit a Superkick on Bubba, and Kidman follows with the SSP off the top for the win. ***

Backstage: Torrie Wilson, Rey Mysterio, and other jobbers celebrate with the new tag champs by giving them a standing ovation, and champagne showers until they bump into the Dudleyz. Who offers the handshake.

Backstage: Josh Mathews interviews Kenzo Suzuki, as Hiroko translates. Kenzo cuts a promo in Japanese, Hiroko says Cena disrespected him and now he seeks revenge, and he is misunderstood, he loves America. He very awkwardly smiles and says GOD BRESS AMERICA!

John Cena comes out and RAPS about Booker. Kenzo Suzuki and Hiroko come out, which leads to a Kenzo and Cena fight, with Cena runs him off. But, Luther Reigns runs down from behind and lays him out.

Champion vs. Champion: John Bradshaw Layfield vs. El Gran Luchadore
This was fun, JBL toys with him far too long which allows EGL to make some mini-comebacks and use his speed to frustrate JBL. JBL decides enough is enough and beats the shit out of him, he boots him to the floor, but another EGL runs out from under the ring behind the ref and JBL's back, he throws JBL to the floor and goes back under the ring before JBL knows what just happen to him. But the EGL II leaves some "BANANA PEALS" in the ring :lmao JBL gets up looking confused and looks around, EGL II then pulls EGL under the ring and takes his place. AKA TWIN MAGIC! EGL II then hits the 3 Amigos, and JBL bails out for a countout.

EGL II grabs the mic, who sounds a lot like Eddie. He says he and Eddie Guerrero are real close, but next week, JBL won't be able to run and he knows Eddie is going to come off the top of the cage with the biggest Frog Splash ever to become the new WWE Champion. VIVA LA RAZA!

Backstage: Josh Mathews interviews Booker T, Booker says we've already seen one title change hands tonight and we're damn sure about to see another, he then says on a serious note, it's a damn shame what happened to Cena earlier, cause now he has an excuse for why he loses the US Title to him tonight.

RAW REBOUND!

Backstage: Rey, Spike and Scotty are talking, when the Dudleyz comes over to talk to Spike. They say tonight hasn't gone well so far with them so far, they offer help to Spike again tonight, Spike says he didn't want help or advice last week when they actually had tag titles and asks why he'd possibly want it now, and Spike leaves.

Rey Mysterio, Spike Dudley & Scotty II Hotty vs. Jamie Knoble, Chavo Guererro & Akio
Heels immediately go into isolating Rey, who bumps well off everything, all the heels get time to shine on offense. HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT! Scotty had a somewhat great hot tag, and so does Spike, he cleans house with now all the heels bumping. The match breaks down, with everyone hitting big moves one after the over before they move onto dives. Noble blocks the Dudley Dog and hits the Tiger Driver/Gibson Driver for the win. AWESOME STUFF, if this got RAW time to get a double heat segment, would have had so much potential. **3/4

Backstage: Josh Mathews tries to interview Paul Heyman, he asks him his thoughts on the Dudleyz losing the tag titles. Heyman says he doesn't give a crap, and he's going to go to the ring to talk to the Undertaker personally.

Paul Heyman is in the ring with the urn, he pulls out a letter. He says he stands here a humble man, a man that realized he made a few mistakes in life. None worse than when he decided to challenge the Undertaker. He says he accepts his behavior, even though it was all Bubba and D-Von's fault, it was all their plan to kidnap Bearer and to make Taker bow down to him. He says the Dudleyz got what the deserved, he says he would return his urn to him and to take that into consideration. He puts it on the mat. He asks for Taker to just let this one slide. He pleads on his knees for Taker to take pity on his wretched soul and to pass him by.

GM Kurt Angle and Luther come out to ringside.

WWE United States Championship: Booker T vs. John Cena
Booker attacks Cena from behind as he stares down Luther and Kurt, as the bell rings. Booker tries to work the arm, but he kinda just forgets or just gives up as Cena doesn't sell for a single second. He then starts working on various stuff, but that all looks filler until Cena makes his comeback, he goes for the FU but Booker grabs the top rope and drops Cena to the floor. Then behind the refs back, Kurt hopes out of his wheelchair and uses his EVIL BOSS CANE to hit Cena in the back with it. When we return, Kurt no longer has his wheelchair with him and is using the cane to stand as he watches on. Booker now works the head, and back with submissions. They slowly transition into trading near falls, they start fighting on the floor, with Kurt helping Booker up, as Cena tried a clothesline, but Booker moved and Cena hit Kurt! They fought back in, and Cena hit the FU, but Luther attacked for the DQ. **3/4

Luther again lays out Cena, Kurt then grabs the mic and yells that he warned Cena and he didn't listen, and by the authority invested in him by the Board, I KURT ANGLE STRIPS JOHN CENA OF THE US TITLE FOR ATTACKING HIM.

WWE Vengeance
July 11th, 2004
Hartford, Connecticut

Jonathan Coachman & Garrison Cade vs. Tajiri & Rhyno
The faces dominate early, well like they should. Rhyno seems somewhat motivated and looks like a monster, as Tajiri's kick well still look and sound great, the heel then isolate him because fuck me. Coach again out "wrestles" former champion Tajiri for the majority, until Rhyno has a decent hot tag, he cleans house and hits the GORE! on Cade, with Tajiri finishing Coach off with a roundhouse KO KICK for the win. *3/4

Backstage: Ric, Orton, and Batista are talking, Flair is still upset at the thought of teaming with Eugene. Hunter then comes in, Orton wants to know whats up. Hunter tells him to calm down, Flair says Eugene has a screw missing, Batista just wants to know what the deal is. Hunter then goes to tell them but then asks where is Eugene. Orton said he had him for 2 hours and gave him to Dave, Batista said he had him all week. Anyway, Hunter leaves the room and finds Eugene talking to Benoit. Benoit is telling Eugene that Evolution, Triple H is using him. HUNTER IS PISSED!

Chris Jericho vs. Batista
They sorta right away go into the Batista heat segment portion of the match, low key like 1% upset Batista didn't target the arm like he set up and tried to hurt on RAW. Just so they can continue that story, but oh well. Batista works the head and neck, which is the 2nd best option as he's setting him up for the LARIAT! He locks in this really good full nelson, which really shows off their size difference. Jericho never really gets much going, like he has these mini-comebacks, but he would keep getting cut off, and he's doesn't even sell the neck :( they have a pretty good run of near falls towards the end. Batista hit his Lariat, Spinebuster and the Batista Bomb for the win. Jericho did put his foot on the ropes, but the ref didn't see and took it off after the three count. **1/2

Backstage: The rest of Evolution are watching and applaud of Dave's big singles win. Eugene comes in and sits on the couch, upset. Orton just throws his hands up and walks out :lmaolmao:lmao and Flair refuses to talk to him. Hunter sits down and reassures him that Evolution is on his side and are his real friends. He tells Flair to go get Eugene's surprise, and Flair brings out one of his robes. He says Eugene can wear it tonight, and Eugene puts it on. He starts imitating Ric and struts off, and Flair is not at all amused.

WWE World Tag Team Championships: La Resistance vs. Ric Flair & Eugene
Flair's total disgust in everything Eugene does is the greatest, but what's even better is seeing Flair try to keep character but break everytime Eugene mimics him. Flair loves it so much, so yeah, it's pretty much a comedy match so it really didn't need to go 12 minutes. Eugene basically does Flair offense all match, I will admit it's highly entertaining. Flair gets in after like 4 minutes and does all his shit too, loooool the ref just gives up and allows both members of the resistance to get their asses kicked in the ring at the same time. Flair locks in the figure-four, but Conway breaks it up, that allows them to get like their first offensive heat segment of the match lol. They don't really do much, just beat on Flair for a bit. Eugene gets upset/mad when Sylvan throws him into the steps, he rushes into the ring and goes nuts on them. He shoves the ref away when he tries to pull him off, and it's a DQ. After the match; Eugene hits Sylvan with a Stunner and Conway with the Rock Bottom followed by the People's Elbow. *3/4

RIP Matt FACTS

No Disqualification Match: Kane vs. Matt Hardy
So this is great, Matt comes right away with the hate and violence, awesome punches and grabbing anything as a weapon, but Kane holds his own, he's usually good in these NoDQ matches cause he doesn't have to wrestle and can just brawl. Kane is vicious, it's his best showing since the last time I said it was his best showing, which might have been against Benoit, Jericho or Val. Matt takes a ton of great bumps and sells just the sheer pain he's in. BUT FUCK ALL THAT! Lawler busts out the target line :mark: the target line you may be asking? "I HEARD LITA IS GONNA NAME THE BABY TARGET, CAUSE EVERYBODY IS GONNA HAVE A SHOT AT IT" He also makes fun of Matt ring, and how ugly will a Kane baby look. He's in prime 90's King joke bag. Kane dominates and yells at Matt to fight, BOY! so that promotes an awesome Matt comeback, Kane takes a shitty bump off the Twist of Fate, when he bumps on one knee, so his head and upperbody never even crashes the mat. It's the same bump he takes in the pedigree 85% of the time. That obviously gets a 2 count, Kane sits up and Matt runs into a chokeslam. But he doesn't go for the cover, instead, he grabs the steel steps. He goes to use them, but Lita runs out to stop him. That allows Matt to hit Kane with a chair knocking the steps back into Kane's face and Matt covers for the win. ***

Backstage: Lita tries to talk to Matt tells Lita to stay away from the ring since she's carrying a baby and until HE can figure things out, stay away from him.

Orton/Edge video package :mark:

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Edge vs. Randy Orton
They start off with some really good match wrestling and counters, but they would always come back to Edge hitting a shoulder block to "block" Orton's momentum before it can get started. That seemingly pisses Orton off as the match goes on. Orton is clearly over here, he's getting the pops and Edge is being BOOOO'ed when on the offensive. So that's a new element in the match, Orton sidesteps a charging Edge and sends him to the floor, he then begins working the spine and neck withholds, it's good but seems kinda meh like not much is going on. I don't wanna say held back, but it's 2 PPV's in a row where Orton's heat is lackluster and doesn't click. ALSO WHAT THE FUCK HAPPEN TO SHELTON? Edge makes a comeback, and of course, he doesn't sell he neck, the neck that he just came back from that was previously broken. Edge goes for the spear, but Orton boots him in the face and hits he modified backbreaker for two. Orton goes back to work on the neck, he's now turned up the aggression and is much better than his first time working it. HEADLOCK RANDY~! IS BACK! It just seems like they are having trouble filling the 27 minutes. Orton goes for the double sledge off the top, but Edge dropkicks him in mid-air. FUCKIN' EDGE JUST WAS IN A HEADLOCK FOR 5 MINUTES AND AFTER BEING OUT FOR 15 SECONDS HE'S ALREADY STOPPED SELLING THE NECK. They do their fantastic forearm brawl, he makes his comeback and again they go back to exchanging near falls. Orton takes off the corner turnbuckle, and both men trade rollups for two's. Edge hits the Impaler DDT for two, Orton crawls to the corner with the exposed steel, he hot shots Edge onto the steel and tries the roll-up with his feet on the ropes like he did on RAW but Edge kicks out. Moments later Edge tries a spear but Orton leapfrogs it, he goes for the RKO but that gets countered into a backslide for two. Edge then shoves Orton into the exposed steel and hits the spear for the win. Great finishing stretch, but an overall disappointing match. They had a better IC match on RAW, I think it was on May. RIP Orton's goat IC title run, on to bigger and better things. **3/4

#1 Contender for the WWE Women's Championship: Molly Holly vs. Victoria
Same match we've seen all year. Molly works the arm, and Victoria does a fantastic job selling, she can't hit the widow's peak so she instead kicks Molly's head off with a nasty superkick for the win. *3/4

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H vs. Chris Benoit
They start off with a good mat exchange, as JR says if Benoit is the greatest mat technician in the world than Hunter is 1a. He then puts over Hunter's obsession with being world champion. He didn't drop the line about him willing to destroy his own grandmother to be world champ :( Benoit gets the better in and out of the ring, but Hunter catches him with a running knee to stop his momentum. He begins hitting some high vertical suplexes before semi-targetting the back, Benoit doesn't really sell it and keeps fighting back before Hunter can really get anything going. He hits his usual Chops, Suplex and German's comeback spots. Again the fight onto the floor, with Benoit sending Hunter into the steps, he rolls him back in but takes too much time and misses the Diving Headbutt. The match really picks up now, with Hunter working the chest/sternum. He does what he usually does when he works Shawn's back. Lots of brutal nasty looking hard Irish whips sending Benoit chest first into the turnbuckles, it's the Bret spot :mark: Benoit's selling is so fucking good, not just his bumping but selling and just yelling, and breathing heavy. Hunter even starts using the delayed front suplex just throwing Benoit landing on his chest. He continues to work the chest in brutal fashion until he just stops working it to locking in a sleeper to kill more time. Benoit manages to fight out and lock in the Sharpshooter but gets to the ropes. And now Benoit makes his comeback hitting the 3 German's but Hunter rolls to the floor. BENOIT THEN BUSTS OUT THE SUICIDE DIVE TO THE FLOOR. They both get back into the ring and Benoit ducks a running forearm and the ref gets taken out. Triple H calls for Eugene to come out and he does, Hunter signals for him to do something, but Benoit locks in the crossface and yells at him to "GET DA REF" Eugene doesn't know what to do, so he just bites his thumb. Eugene then goes to enter the ring so Benoit punches him of FUCK YEAH! Hunter low blows him from behind and hits the pedigree, Hunter tells him to get the ref and he does. But only gets a two count. Hunter now yells at Eugene to get the chair, and he does, he hands it to Hunter but stops him from using it. SO HUNTER PIE FACES HIM AND CALLS HIM A STUPID SON OF A BITCH! Benoit then kicks the chair back into his face and grabs the chair, but Flair and Batista come out. But they get taken out with the chair. Eugene is now in the ring, he takes the chair away. Eugene can't decide who to hit and chooses neither. Benoit is up first and tries to take the chair from Eugene. They have a tug of war, and Eugene pulls away, and the momentum causes him to hit Hunter with the chair. Eugene bails to the floor, upset with himself and begging not to be mad at him. Both men are slow to get up, as the ref is now up and Benoit school boys Hunter for the win. Another hugely disappointing match, like the first 2/3's of the match ruled, but once they abandon the chest work and the Eugene fuckshit happen the match top a dive for the worse. Just felt like one long 30-minute angle advancement match. **3/4

Super average show.
