The show started with loads of pyro & the crowd in Chicago Illinois are going nuts! Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, Bobby Heenan & Larry Zybszko are at ringside calling the action with Zybszko, Heenan & Tenay calling the 1st half & Schiavone, Heenan & Tenay the 2nd half & all 4 in the main event. We go to Dave Penzer in the ring to ring announce the opening match!
Villiano IV, Villiano V, Crowbar, Lenny Lane & Silver King vs Disco Inferno, La Parka, Chavo Guerrero Jr, Juventud Guerrera & Psychosis
This is a lively opener with a load of spots. Crowbar starts out with Guerrero Jr & they both have a good 1-2 minutes of technical wrestling until Crowbar & Guerrero tag out to Parka & Lane. Lenny gets worn down by Disco & Parka until while Disco is taunting Lane tags in Silver King who blindsides Inferno & Los Villianos wears down Inferno with elbows & attacks to the head. Inferno finally gets some offence hitting IV with a crossbody & a swinging neckbreaker! Hot tag to Guerrera! Juventud goes wild on Silver King with headscissors & flying forearms before dropkicking King out the ring & hitting a corkscrew crossbody! Lenny brawls in the ring with Chavo who throws Lane out the ring & onto Silver & Guerrera! Crossbody by Guerrero! La Parka & Inferno hit Lenny & King with double suicide dives! Uh oh! Crowbar & Villiano V climb onto 2 different turnbuckles...... Oh my god! Villiano lands on Disco & Chavo & Crowbar hits a Senton to Guerrera & Parka! Meanwhile in the ring Psychosis ducks a clothesline from IV & hits a Psycho Stunner! 1! 2! 3! The Technicos win!

We go backstage where Scott Hudson is interviewing the WCW Hardcore Champion Norman Smiley. Smiley got attacked by Fit Finley on Nitro to lose the Hardcore Championship but won it back on WCW Saturday Night but not before getting thrown through a window. Scott asks how he's feeling but from behind Finley with a referee & a trashcan! Norman gets punched & kicked by Fit & Finley pins him to steal the Hardcore Title! Finley walks away with the belt on his shoulder.

Ernest The Cat Miller vs Rey Mysterio Jr
This match is a VERY short match with Rey dropkicking Ernest into the ropes & hitting a 619! Miller rolls to the other side of the ring & Mysterio, now with his mask back, hits a springboard hurricanrana onto the floor! Rey-Rey gets dropkicked by Miller when they get up & The Cat wears on Jr for 30 seconds before dancing but takes too long & Mysterio school boys Cat for the 3! Miller is shocked as he blindsides Rey! But Jr gets saved by....... Buff Bagwell? The Stuff throws right hands at Ernest before placing him on the ropes...... RMJ with a 619! Bagwell on the 2nd rope...... Buff Blockbuster to Miller! Bagwell offers Mysterio a handshake which he slowly accepts as Bagwell raises his hand. The Filthy Animals' Billy Kidman, Konnan & Eddy Guerrero come out as Buff offers them handshakes & all of them, hesitantly accept.
Rey Mysterio Jr wins *
We go backstage to Mean Gene Okerlund who's backstage with Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, The Harris Brothers & newest member Stevie Ray (Ray turned on Booker T during a tournament match with The Harris Bros & supposedly injured the future WWE Intercontinental Champion). Gene asks where Scott Hall is but Nash claims he's be here shortly. Mean Gene questions Stevie on why he committed "the absolutely most disgraceful thing I've ever seen in this sport" (uhh Hollywood Hogan ring a bell Gene?) Ray claims that he's been held back by Booker & it was only a matter of time before his patience ran out & joined the newest & greatest version of the NWO yet. Scott Steiner goes on a rant about the careers of Bam Bam Bigelow & Sid Vicious calling them pussies & weak links. Okerlund asks who's Steiner's new partner but Scott tells him he's found a replacement IF Hall doesn't show. Jeff Jarrett takes the mic & rants & raves about Chris Beniot attacking him & making him tap to the Crossface before saying the NWO will hold the US Title again. Kev, who has a new spray painted belt with the N & O black & the W silver. He cuts a good shoot on Eddy Guerrero & says that he's not losing the NWO Championship anytime soon especially to a vanilla midget. They all join in a NWO! 4 LYFE! Chant & throw Okerlund out.
Kaz Hayashi vs Evan Karagias for the WCW Crusierweight Championship!
A great 10:57 match which was built up around the Yung Dragons vs 3 Count feud & that on Nitro & Thunder these past few weeks they've been accidentally helping each other win to get to the finals. Hayashi defeated Sonny Siaki, Villiano IV & Chavo Guerrero Jr while Karagias defeated Psychosis, The Artist & Juventud Guerrera. Kaz & Evan both stare down as they try to chain wrestle each other to the mat but it eventually takes to the air after Hayashi threw Karagias out the ring & hit a suicide dive! Kaz throws Karagias onto the steps & hits a missile dropkick off the barricade into the ring apron! Evan gets thrown in the ring for a 2 count but gets the advantage after Shannon Moore of 3 Count distracted the ref & low blowed Kaz. Evan works over the ribs of Hayashi after a double knee gutbuster & a Rolling Thunder. Kaz tries to fight back but when he went up top for a crossbody Karagias dropkicked him in the gut! Back Senton to Kaz's gut. He goes to hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb but Hayashi punches Evan 3 times before he lets go but gets flattened with a Moonsault! Kaz makes his comeback with some stiff chops & a Irish Whip into a dropkick to Karagias' jaw! Hayashi picks up Evan & nails a DDT! Up goes Kaz & hits a Frog Splash! 1! 2! No! Shane Helms & Moore pull the referee out the ring & floor him! Hayashi is shocked & hits a crossbody to 2/3 of 3C! Evan rolls to the outside & floors Kaz with a big boot! But wait! The Yung Dragons! Jamie-San & Yang come out & brawl with Shannon & Shane into the crowd! Karagias throws Kaz into the ring & nails a Backbreaker! Evan goes for it..... Outrageous Senton- NO! Hayashi got the knees up! Northern Lights! Evan goes for a scoop slam but The Kazmaster drops behind & hits the Hayashi Cutter! 1! 2! No! Evan puts his foot on the rope! Karagias nails a vicious powerbomb & hits a Outrageous Senton! 1! 2! 3! Karagias is the new WCW Crusierweight Champion of the World!

As the Chicago fans are chanting for both The Revolution & The Jersey Triad & Konnan, Douglas mouths off to Konnan but quickly gets shut as K-Dawg hits a huge lariat! As the 6 men brawl around ringside for about 5 minutes (it's a 19:22 contest) before DDP threw Saturn in the ring & had a punch up before Diamond tags in Kanyon & hits a double dropkick for 2. Chris & Perry have a decent wrestling exchange before Saturn gets the advantage & hits a huge Spinebuster before tagging Dean Malenko in & hitting a double leg drop for 2. Malenko works over every body part on Kanyon, his right arm, left leg, head & back all get worn over by The Iceman. Dean tags Douglas in who low blows Chris! Shane mostly works over the head & arm of Kanyon but hits a occasional leg move. Chris looked like he'd get some offence but Douglas throws him into the ring post & nails a Shinbreaker! Saturn gets tagged in & kicks Chris' head in. Perry almost got the win after Douglas distracted the referee Malenko climbed up top & Saturn hit a Backbreaker while Dean hit a elbow drop! Malenko claps his hands to pretend he got tagged in. Malenko locks in a Cross Armbreaker & Kanyon's in huge trouble now! Kanyon somehow finds a way to get offence & goes for a thunderous powerbomb reversal! But Dean reverses that into a hurricanrana & locks in a Figure 4 Leglock! Chris is screaming in pain but finally reaches the ropes. Malenko then pulls him to the centre of the ring & locks in a STF! Chris doesn't look like he's gonna last but just makes it to the ropes! Saturn gets tagged in again & hits a Gutwrench Suplex! Saturn guise for a Death Valley Driver but Kanyon drops behind & hits a Reverse DDT! Up goes Kanyon...... Moonsault!!! 1! 2! Thr-No! Kanyon crawls over to his corner... But Shane grabs his leg! Enziguri by Chris! Hot tag to Konnan! Konnan goes wild on The Franchise with very stiff clotheslines & backdrops before nailing a HUGE powerbomb! Dean goes for a Moonsault..... But Konnan catches him! Tombstone position but throws him up into a snake eyes in the turnbuckle & hits a running crossbody! Perry goes for a Death Valley Driver but Konnan reverses into a K-Factor! K-Dawg is on fire tonight! Shane blindsides the Mexican Hulk Hogan with a Axehandle to the back of the head! He goes for a belly to belly Suplex..... But Konnan reverses into one of his own! DDP gets tagged in & reversed a Franchiser into a Diamond Cutter! 1! 2! 3! Konnan & The Jersey Triad win! Shane Douglas is gone from WCW! When Saturn & Malenko get in the ring Shane barrettes both men, calling them losers & pieces of shit! Shane slaps both men & pays for it after Saturn hits a Death Valley Driver & Malenko locks in a Texas Cloverleaf! Douglas is screaming & tapping out as security pull Dean off of him & grab Douglas & throws him out the arena!
Konnan & Jersey Triad win **
We go backstage to Scott Hudson who's with The Stuff Buff Bagwell & Rey Mysterio Jr, Billy Kidman, Konnan & Eddy Guerrero of the Filthy Animals. Scott asks Bagwell why he saved Rey from the beat down by Ernest Millar. Buff says that Mysterio is a amazing wrestler & a great guy so The Stuff had to help him out! Bagwell says that The Cat lost his 9 lives pretty quickly tonight, 4:47 to be exact. Rey thanks Bagwell & says that they should team up sometime. Kidman says that he is now making it known he has a surprise as he has a bag. He pulls it out & it's the WCW Television Championship! Billy says that although a Outsider binned the belt he found the title & now he's going to defend it 20! 4! 7! Konnan goes on a stupid rap about how the Filthy Animals are unstoppable. Hudson asks Guerrero how he's preparing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match against Kevin Nash. Eddy smirks & says that he has been waiting his entire life for this opportunity. Since he 1st teamed with Lucha Libre legend El Hijo del Santo, as La Pareja Atómica, since he turned rudo & partnered with his best friend Art Barr & became 1 half of the most hated team in the world La Pareja del Terror, since he wrestled in NJPW as Black Tiger II, since he won the ECW TV Champion in his debut match, since he won the WCW US Championship, since he faced his best friend Rey Mysterio Jr at Halloween Havoc 1997, since he formed The Latino World Order & since he formed the Filthy Animals last year with K-Dawg & RMJ & since he defeated Jushin Liger in the Tokyo Dome for the IWGP Junior Chsmpionship. He's been waiting & praying for this moment & now it's finally happening. Nash has held him, Beniot, Malenko, Mysterio, Bagwell & many others down FAR! 2! 3 Count vs Yung Dragons for the WCW Tag Team Championships!
We now have Tony Schiavone (oh god) on commentary with The Brain & The Professor as we start out the 2nd half of our COTC with the WCW Tag Tournament Finals with 3 Count's Shannon Moore & Shane Helms vs the Yung Dragons' Jamie-San & Yang. Yang & San defeated The Blue Bloods, The New Hardcore Revolution & The Harris Brothers while 3 Count beat Lash LeRoux & Hugh Morrus, The Jersey Triad & Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Terry Funk. Yang started out with Helms who seems to offer a handshake but gives his partner one instead. Shane offers another one but Yang rubs his hand on his ass 1st. Both men have a good 3 minutes of great chain wrestling before Yang throws Shane out the ring & hits a diving crossbody! Yang throws Helms back into the ring & tags in Jamie-San, & the Yung Dragons hit a double backdrop to Shane! He quickly tags in Shannon Moore, who slams Jamie & goes for a leg drop but San rolled out the way & hit a dropkick to a seated Moore's jaw! A quick 2 count. San throws Shannon into his corner & tag Yang in, who while Moore is in a headlock Yang hits a footstomp to Shannon's back! Yang runs towards Shannon but gets nailed with a Frankensteiner! Yang gets up & Moore hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors! Woah! A Angle Slam by Moore? Tag to Helms who picks up Yang & hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! A small miniature man with frizzy hair & a bodysuit with Mexi-Cool written in the back & green & red & white designs all over it. Ron hits Jamie-San with a Powerbomb & Don hit Yang with a Chokeslam! Hayashi gets planted with a H-Bomb & the Mexi-Cool man climbs up top & hits a Moonsault! The man grabs a mic & says that everyone probably is wondering who he is. Well he then says that all they need to know is..... He's SUPER! He's CRAZY! So he must be SSSUUUPPPEEERRR CCCRRRAAAZZZYYY!!!!!! The 3 men go backstage.

Sid Vicious & Bam Bam Bigelow vs Scott Steiner & Scott Hall?
This was NOT a good match. We started out with Bam Bam & Sid (who are being called the Duo of Apocalypse) making there entrance then Scott Steiner with a microphone. He talks about Hall not turning up & cuts a shoot on him , calling him a drunk & a piece of shit before his replacement is...... Lex Luger! Luger comes out with Scott & they high five as Lex started out with Bigelow. Bam Bam shoves Luger & throws him around & tags Sid in & DOA hit a double backdrop to Ray. Lex tags Steiner in who gets in a striking match with Vicious. Steiner elbows Vicious at the back of the head & tries to chop the big man down. Vicious shoves him away & hits a sidewalk slam for 2. Bigelow gets tagged in & the Duo of Destruction hit a double Suplex on Scott for 2. Steiner kicks BBB in the gut & tags Luger in & they chop Bam with kicks & leg moves. After about 7 minutes of terrible moves by Lex & Bigelow, Bam Bam gets the hot tag to Sid who goes wild on Steiner & Luger. Scott tried to body slam Vicious but Sid forearmed him & hit a Powerbomb! Tag to Bam Bam! MOONSAULT! 1! 2! 3! The Duo Of Apocalypse win! From behind Luger chop blocks Sid & Steiner hits Bigelow with his pipe! Lex locks Vicious in the Torture Rack before Scott locks Bam in the Steiner Recliner.

We see Chris Beniot in his locker room stretching & putting his gear on. We then see Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko walk in the room & Chris hugs all 3 men. They talk about Malenko & Saturn attacking Shane Douglas, as Perry says it's been a long time coming. Malenko asks Chris about his leg & Beniot says it's fine & good to go. Saturn tells Chris that if the NWO come out, they've got his back. Chris thanks them & bro hugs them before leaving.
Chris Beniot vs Jeff Jarrett for the WCW United States Championship!
A great match between these 2 men! Jeff started the match by avoiding Chris but got the advantage by drop kicking Beniot's leg. Jarrett is beating the hell out of Beniot until The Wolverine nails a LOUD chop to Jeff! He beats The Chosen One down with a German Suplex & a Float over Powerbomb! Jarrett got back the advantage after a Shinbreaker to Chris & works on Beniot's injured leg. Jeff grabs Beniot's leg & whacks it off the ring post! Oh! A Figure 4 Leglock on the ring post! The ref takes him off but Jarrett low blows the referee & hits a Stroke on the outside! Jarrett grabs a chair & beats the hell out of Chris' right leg! Lex Luger & Stevie Ray runs out from the back & beats the hell out of Beniot! But from the back Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko come out & help out Beniot! Dean works over Ray & Saturn beats down Luger! Jeff went for a Acoustic Equaliser but Perry ducked & Malenko hit a Total Elimination! Saturn & Malenko go backstage as Beniot hit a Swandive Headbutt! Jeff knees Chris in the testicles & grabs his guitar! But wait...... Oh my god! It's Sting & Vampiro on the ramp! The Brothers in Paint distract Jeff as the 4 men stare Jarrett down but Chris elbows Jeff in the back in the head! He grabs the guitar & smashes it over Jeff's head! Crossface locked in! A referee runs down the ramp as Jarrett is already KO'd & raises Jarrett's hand once...... Twice...... Thrice! Beniot is still WCW United States Champion! As Dean, Perry, Sting & Vampiro come out to celebrate with Chris every member of the NWO come out (The Harris Brothers, Super Crazy, Lex Luger, Stevie Ray, Scott Steiner & Kevin Nash) & beat down the 5 men! But wait........ Oh my god!!! It's Ric Flair! It's Macho Man Randy Savage! They are here to save! Oh! No! Flair hit Vampiro with a chair! Savage low blows Malenko! It's now 10 on 5! But wait a minute! It's the Filthy Animals! Rey Mysterio Jr, Konnan, Billy Kidman, Buff Bagwell & Eddy Guerrero! It's 10 on 10! Guerrero is brawling with Nash in the ring as Kidman hits a Shooting Star Press to the outside onto everyone, RMJ hits a Asai Moonsault to everyone & Crazy hit a Corkscrew Moonsault onto everyone! Kevin & Guerrero are still in the ring as a referee comes down & starts the match!
Chris Beniot wins ***1/4
Kevin Nash vs Eddy Guerrero for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship!
This match is horrible for one reason: Kevin Nash. Nash no sells EVERYTHING Guerrero hits him with as part of his refusal to lose to Latino Heat. The match was originally supposed to last 20-23 minutes but was cut down to 14:59. The spot was that Eddy reversed a Jackknife Powerbomb into a midair DDT & Nash had his foot on the ropes. But Arn Anderson, Charles Kingston's representative, came out & talked to the referee. So Eddy did the spot, Kevin put his foot on the rope....1! 2!.....3! Guerrero is the new WCW Heavyweight Champion! He grabs the WCW Title & IWGP Junior Title & celebrates in the crowd. Kevin is livid. Screaming that he's through with this "Mickey Mouse company" & that "it'll be dead in 6 weeks!" Eddy grabs a mic & tells Nash to quit bitching & leave the company & never come back! That's just what Kev did. After the show he left WCW along with Scott Hall. The ending of the PPV had Guerrero standing tall with the Filthy Animals, Dean, Perry & Beniot hugging him & lifting him onto his shoulders.
